I absolutely LOVED Duran Duran! I spent all my allowance each week buying buttons to put on my denim jacket. They not only could sing, but also were the FINEST band around. They were freakin' gorgeous!! They put on one of the greatest concerts ever back-in-the-day. The English truly had it going on in the 80's!

Too many rappers ruining songs today, Even some half decent tunes today are ruined by tiny temper and all his mob, Nowadays you hear a likable song on the radio and then low and behold some crappy rapper pops up and really doesnt add much in any form.Also music producers are technically dead now as anyone can download the software needed to make any type of song...My pet hate just now is all the computerised singing which seems to be in nearly every new song.....

I absolutely LOVED Duran Duran! I spent all my allowance each week buying buttons to put on my denim jacket. They not only could sing, but also were the FINEST band around. They were freakin' gorgeous!! They put on one of the greatest concerts ever back-in-the-day. The English truly had it going on in the 80's!

and i am 35 from greece and duran duran was my very very 1st favorite band
i remember that "as the lights go down" show they made,i had it on vhs and i'd watch it like every single day
now i'm all in to (very heavy) metal but still they are one of my all time favorite bands.
what i mostly respect about them is that they didn't have to go in to all these catchy songs just to sell albums,they were just pure talent and good music

God, this is one of their deepest, strangest, and most kickass songs and videos. It applies to both. I mean, really, listen to the lyrics, and watch the video. The song itself is shrouded in mystery, as is just what it's talking about.

They sang like them, bass-grooved like them and funk-licked like them all through their albums, plus they added some creative synthesizer and soul-sister background vocals to tracks like this one. It never ceases to amaze me to listen to old CHIC albums and then go forward and listen to Duran Duran. For a bunch of English guys, they were really DOWN.
