  • Very cool. It made me miss those John Woo films.

  • That was pretty good.

  • Awesome stuff man. Great editing for a home vid. John Woo forever!

  • That's a nice house

  • holy wowza

  • great

  • awesome some of the best shoot out i've seen. you capture the feel of hong kong movies and john woo films. Am my self am an film maker and this some of the best i've seen well done.

  • YEAH! Great stuff. =]

  • I've spent most of my life making movies without any money and I've seen what people in the same boat have to offer, I've seen a thousand bad shootouts filmed on cheap camera's in someone's garden or kitchen. This however is actually quite brilliant. While obviously rough and cheap, it contains more innovation, invention, style and panache than all these godawful $200.000.000 movies have in their whole running times. Can't buy that.

  • @DjangoMr Thanks for the encouraging words. I really appreciate it. Film making is a growing process and even though I've gotten a lot better since this was shot, I still learn new things every time I pick up a camera. Film making is not a hobby, it's a lifestyle choice. ^_^

  • his gf didnt giv a shit about him!!!

    that bitch...

  • how do you do the shoots?

  • Good job! I liked it. Good compositing and practical effects to bring the film to life. Love the moving camera angles too. All I had a tough time with was how washed out many of the shots looked. That's all in how expensive of a camera you have available though. 5 stars.

  • no seriously wheres your brother lol

  • Basically you need to learn extensively about

choosing a correct portion of image to describe

a message you're trying to deliver. For example

one thing you're able to follow is the POV of

head shots during conversation & half body

shots during gun battles, basically it's not a

bad job done. Anyway switch1386 did you

edit this using Discreet Logic, Sony Vegas

or Premiere Pro? Edit works look fine to me

    anyway.

  • @imprezaver4 I can handle criticism, I value them actually. But anyone can write and pick apart what's wrong with a film. Question is, can you yourself do something like this and much better (since you seem to know so much about film making), I would like to see that.

  • well doesn't matter. I study film critics anyway but it doesn't matter the budget is 5 bucks or 5 million. Crappy cameras can still do correct proper shots but if you don't know the basics about filming it will still be crap even if I hand you a Digital Panavision Genesis. This is not nit picking. You're definitely not belong in entertainment industry if you can't even handle simple critics. Did I even use vulgar vocab and insult your work? Rooms for improvement, always. Nothing personal.
  • Long haired guy spoke too soft. Use a gun-mike. 0:27 audience view of man in hat was blocked. girl's very stiff. she should've freaked out or some- thing like that when the long haired guy pulled the trigger. 1:19 half body shot badly done. Ever heard of what's Plan Americain shot? 2:35 the guy's too relaxed. Can' t give the shoot out hype feeling to the audience. 5:54 one moment the guy was holding the girl. when he gets shot on the head the gal is a distance away.
  • Great critique. Too bad it doesn't matter and you wasted your time. This was done 3 years ago on a budget of $5. All shot within 5 hours and mostly improvised. Not to mention shot on crappy cameras. So of course theirs going to be some faults here and there.

How bout stop nit picking peoples videos and start making some of your own.

  • Forget that guy up there. The only beef I had with this video was the missing doves. But so what? Entertaining videos can be shot with next to no money or time. I'd love to know how you do the gunshots, blood effects, and flashes.

  • fantastic short. i'd love to see what you could do with a real budget.

  • 5:47-5:52 is as classic john woo as it gets!! Well done!

  • awesome whats the song at the end where you die?

  • classic john woo trademark things that makes no sense but happens neways cuz its just fukin kool lookin

  • NOW THAT WAS JUST AWESOM! lol

    XD

  • Hey, one of the better Woo pastiches I've seen. Nice fluid camera work and overall design.

  • Um.....hasn't YesIamDwight got the same video?

  • wat no doves?? hahaha great film man i reali liked it

  • good, would be great in a real flick, it just needs some touchups.

  • Good deal, the action bits where nicely done. Thumbs up...

  • hey! that was awesome! keep up the good work LOL =D

  • exxtreme you became director

  • i have nothing to say。 5 stars!

  • Very nice. I like the look of this movie, and the effects were well done. Only effect, that wasnt that great, was the Ak, oterwise, very good! :)

  • Er, I just saw someone else with the EXACT SAME FILM

  • Yeah, I'm the asian guy in the film. I edited, Directed and did the visual fx for the film. Dwight, who plays the bad guy, uploaded the short film on his youtube. so you might have seen it on his.

  • Ah very well :) I just didn't know who to credit for it :P So I was all "Who made it?"

It was a very well made piece of film, and loved every second. Your acting was impeccable. By the way, how did you guys do in the competition?

  • yo dude, hey make more videos like this one, im going start making vids like this soon, but check out my videos posted on my youtube website!!!!

  • Very well done. Some of the effects were a little cartoony, but who the hell am I to criticize. And while it may have been a little bright, the cinematography was excellent.

Just really well done, all around. 5/5

  • 5:42-5:50 one word: WOW!

  • Can anyone point me to a tutorial for bullet holes in the head.

  • *claps* Great job man! Professional work!

  • Nice! Lots of muzzle flashes lol. Must've took you long. What do you use to edit. Watch my vids, they're the same kind of thing as yours. and subscribe.

  • You did a great job with this tribute to John Woo. This almost reminds me of the movie The Killer. You get my five stars here!

  • pang XD

  • Fucking nice

can you tell me where do you get the music

  • this is stolen

  • Actually, Dwight stole this from me.

I shot it, Directed it, and Edited the whole thing. And Dwight just acted in it.

So Dwight stole this for me ass.

  • sorry for the misunderstanding

  • muito bom !!!!!!!!!
