yall stupid his shit sounded aight, he never tryed to claim credit it clearly says remakes so learn how to read and you can easily avoid being a hater, nice shit!!!
@ Reazi, look man I don't have a problem with doing remakes. When I first came across your page, I thought you were exploiting his work by finding the originals & remaking them to self promote. But if your truly genuine, & you are informing ppl of his brilliance than kudos to U. I had the pleasure of being in his presence around 01'- 04' (We recorded @ STUDIO A together) . @ Taijonlamar, I'm not hatin bruh, people should be prepared to get a little backlash when you fuck w/ Classics, Dat all.
He sighs but instead of putting you energies into remaking Dilla's records you should do your own. I would be interested an hearing some of your original work. I just think your exposing my mans work. I'll do you one better, why don't you remix his work and put your own spin to it. Did you know him?, Were you ever in his presence? Are you House Shoes, Madlib, Karriem Riggins, James Poyser, Pete Rock, Waajeed to name a few. Because those dudes deserve the right to Remix his joints....
@eddyjamez20 You can learn with remaking beats, the remakes have more of an educational purpose if you know what I mean. I discovered that Dilla used the same chopping pattern in all Donuts' songs except Welcome to the show. I don't see the problem man..
@eddyjamez20 Like Dilla knew Gap Mangione when he reinterpreted "Diana In The Autumn Wind"? Come on fam. Dude was inspired. He decided to pay tribute in his own way. Let's not be so judgmental. And this is coming from one of the biggest Dilla fans walking the planet. Hell I hate even saying Dilla. I've been a fan since he was Jay Dee.
@ReaziMusic man! you talented if you put this together! don't listen to the haters 'cause they mad that they can't do this shit! you don't have to know the cat to rep him and remake his beats. if your a fan of his music then that should be enough. let's put it this way. when someone whips out a guitar on piano and play mozart or beatles or whatever. people don't judge them for playing their music. that's just ignorant. fuck that. EDDYJAMEZ20 CAN GO EAT A DICK! GO HANG WITH BILL O'REILLY! BITCH!
seriouly dude, you gotta stop droppin dime on the joints that producers use. That's not cool. Keep that info between you and your crew. Straight Up!!!
why?...no one ownes any samples and every song can be sampled by anybody. and all this vid is showing is what J Dilla did with these samples, and hopefully beginning producers can learn from it and better their musical skills. and you're saying I'm doing a bad thing? c'mon man....
I'm with you on that one homey. it's hardly a secret of what songs are being sampled. My advice to aspiring producers: be original and creative. Don't just loop a track and think you have created a masterpiece. Also, collect as much wax as you can you hands on. no matter what it is. you'll be surprised with what you can do with B-side joints!
if it wasn't for the internet 99.9% of y'all people wouldn't know about most of the samples and if you wanted to know you had to go out and search for them which is something you won't do if you're not truly dedicated to this shit. now every 15 year old can google shit up and front like they be digging in the crates..
not like true heads can't use the internet but there's much more posers and wanna be's now because it's so much easier to make other people think you know what's up when you really don't!
No one out there can perfect that "You can't hold the torch" beat by Dilla...
