"Ex-Mormon?" Oh please....No body in that church says that.....If you left the church which means you are less activity in the church and still a member of the church since you got baptized. Once you got baptized in the church. Your names and everything appeared on the church's internet. They wouldn't remove your names if you are not miscommunicated for wrong doing against God's wills. I will seek your names on internet to see if you got baptized in the church. Don't be alerted!
@ExMormon66 No,I am stll going there and worship God! By the way,I wasn't talking to you. The comment is for her! "Ex-mormon" makes no sense to me!! Like I said If you leave the church that means you are less activity in the church. If you do the wrong things against God's wills as breaks his law often...the church miscommunications you and keep the church sacred applying to God's Kingdom. Well did you read the whole Book of Mormon?
To denying that Jesus is not the Savior of the world, is a doctrine of devils! Salvation comes through faith that Jesus is the savior. It was the shedding of HIS precious blood and HIS Resurrection, which conquered sin and death! The fact that Mormons fail to acknowledge that Jesus the saviour of the world, they are being deceived, I say come out of that church, and believe in Lord Jesus, and not this deception presented my mormonism!!
These videos are comforting and inspiring, especially to those who have been or are going through similar trials. Having the courage to acknowledge your deepest doubts and fears and leave everything you've always known for the unknown world beyond can be terrifying. People are happiest when they are true to themselves. I am sure there are many Mormons who are very happy in the church, it's right FOR THEM. For those of us who have started a new path, we have peace knowing it's right FOR US. :)
Hi, Sarah!! I'm sorry that you left God's One true Church. Perhaps if you would pray, tithe, fast, tithe, read The Book of Mormon, tithe, purchase a "Reformed Egyptian For Dummies!!" kit........ Errrr....... Wait!! Scratch what I just wrote....
Buy your "Reformed Egyptian For Dummies!!" Kit FIRST, ($149.95 + Shipping & Handling) THEN start tithing, and I'm SURE you'll regain your testimony!!
Hi Sarah. I am Psychologist who finished graduate school in 2003. My name is David I am very pleased to say that I am a happy and fulfilled devout Mormon.
@harmagician1 That is great but don't let them lie to you. Prophets saying that Blacks could not hold the priesthood before 1978 was not from God. It was from supposed prophets that had not spoken to God at all. You have as much ability to speak with God as them. If you are okay with that, I am happy for you, but discrimination is not from God.
Because of the comments made with this, I can tell there is a loss of the Spirit of the Savior, and the love and compassion that we should have as Christians. My heart aches for all of you that are so wrapped up in bitterness and hate. The Savior said to love one another as He loves us. I pray for you in all sincerity. lynnelovesmusic
@lynnelovesmusic1 I pray for you, too. By the way how many wives did the savior have? was it 33 or more like Joseph Smith? Did he marry women who were already married to other men like JS did?
@Gods1truechurchmyass I'm sorry you have had too much hear say and info from the wrong source. Do your homework before you judge. If you are really sincere and honestly looking for the truth, with humility, you will be given the answer. lynnelovesmusic
@lynnelovesmusic1 said"If you are really sincere and honestly looking for the truth, with humility, you will be given the answer."
I already have been given my answer. I have done all that is required of me according to LDS scripture and more to know if Mormonism is truly from God and I know with every fiber of my being that the LDS church is not God's one true church. There are too many man made rules and doctrine.
@lynnelovesmusic1 Bitterness and hate? There is none of that....but there is an awakening of finally thinking for yourself instead of being "wrapped up" in the moment of something you do not believe. To thine own self be true, cheers!
@Xer0MachinE From what I have read, there is allot of hate & ill will towards Mormons. A real testimony of the church is not just a belief, it comes as a sure witness from the Holy Ghost, something that I could never under any persecution or fear deny. "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free". This may not be for everyone and I do not deny them their free agency, one of God's greatest gifts to all mankind. lynnelovesmusic
@ravenousglacier People leave their various faiths because they simply stop believing in God all the time. Is the point of these videos only to attack the Mormon church? Why not attack other faiths with the same charge. "I left church x because I stopped believing in God." So what?
Maybe that is the problem some people have with this video.
I have not and never will be a Mormon because it is a lie started by a convicted con man so he could have several wives...
You can of course be an atheist while also being a "moral, principled person"; but if there is no transcendent reality to ground moral action then it seems to me that being a "moral, principled person" means nothing more than sharing the moral prejuidices considered normative in one's culture. If there is no intrinsic right and wrong, no absolute good and bad (i.e., no frame of moral reference) then there is no REAL difference between the actions of the Taliban & a "moral, principled person".
@Deschuttes Was that supposed to be a clever riposte? I agree that the Taliban believe that they possess moral absolutes, but that is irrelevant to the point I was making. I could respond by saying that Stalin and Hitler were moral relativists, which they were, but again that would be irrelevant to the point I was making. There are good & bad people amongst absolutists and relativists; but it is ONLY the absolutists who can really meaningfully ground terms like good & bad in reality.
SK8er, Why do you feel the need to tell complete strangers what i think, looney tune? I was merely defending this girl from judgemental mormons. Please stick to the regular kool-aid and stay out of the spiked kool-aid.
Lol! mormons dont want you to TELL Them what they believe, now we have a conversation where mormons wont believe this woman is happy?! Cant win for losing, i guess :-(
I believe people are happy unto themselves. Soul only thinks people are happy outside the LDS church for some reason. She woudl claim if this was about someone finding happiness joining the LDS church that the person was confused and deceived.
Leaving religion and embracing the truth of atheism, is not prick-kicking but instead a wonderful feeling of release and freedom from superstition. If you study, and use logic and reason, you too can come to this understanding.
Kiersten1650, That is what you have been taught, but Jesus is not your brother. Jesus is God. Read the New Testament. If you dont know the true nature of God it will effect your salvation. Do your research.
I assure you. I am Christain. I worship the same God that is in the bible, I worship the same Christ that is in the bible. God is my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ is my Heavenly brother. The definition of a Christain is a follower of Christ and I follow Him so I am indeed a Christain.
A person can leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but rarely can they leave it alone. Satin wants more than a person to leave the church. He wants the person to then fight against it, knock it down, bring others down. Hence, he is the Destroyer.
Uh, the reason why they don't leave it alone is because the church is a hurtful, false organization that encompasses your whole life. There's an enormous physical and emotional buy-in. When you find out that what you believed in for so long is one BIG lie, it takes a long time to get over that. Hence, the Mormon church is the real destroyer... a destroyer of lives. I'm sorry that you're so fooled by it.
@MrFitzwilly Your comment is completely based on an assumption (your belief) that the mormon church is the only true church. If it isn't the only true church, and not true at all, then satan would want people to join the church in order to cause more confusion. Why is it that Satan gets all the credit for people leaving the church when it is actually the church's history and beliefs that do a good enough job of causing people to stop believing?
Kiersten1650, Find out the truth. Jesus is not your brother. He is God. Mormons worship a Mormon God and that makes them a non-Christian faith that uses the name of Jesus and tells others that they are Christian! That is a misrepresentation of the true nature of God. Remember u are Mormon, not Christian.
@kiersten1650, this women in the video didn't bash your religion in the slightest. I've gone to the lds.org web site, and it has plenty of ammunition for bashing mormonism. When your religion stops poking it's nose into other people's business, I'll happily stop bashing it.
of Jesus Christ. I know that He is my savior and redeemer. He is my brother who knows me personally. I made this decision for myself with no pressure from anyone around me. I have no doubt that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church on this earth. I don't expect everyone to agree with me based on this post, but I would appreciate if people would please stop bashing my religion, whatever problems you may have with it.
I wanted to bear my testimony to you that I know the Mormon church is false, and that there's no way it could be a god's church. I know that the Book of Mormon is false, and was written by men as a fraud. I know this thru logic, facts & reason. I also know that, like many Mormons, you confused criticism of your religion with "bashing" or "discrimination". It's not. Many religions are criticized... get over it. And yours deserves it for it's meddling in the civil rights of others.
My name is Kiersten and I am a Mormon. I think that I first knew I had a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was about 16. Up until then I never really believed because I decided that I would be happier outside of the church. One day, I was listening to a talk given by Gordon B. Hinkley on the Book of Mormon. He basically said to try it out and see how you feel afterwards. I decided to read it. After reading, there is no denying the truth of the gospel
LDS way of believing BOM: "We dont need to 'find' proofs. Its already true"
It's circular reasoning fallacy. Simply assuming a claim is true does not serve as evidence for that claim. It's like saying:
"X is true. The evidence for this claim is that X is true"
There is no evidence for LDS, only circular reasoning and absolute unquestionable obedience, who cares about right and wrong? just obey?!?!. that's a cult!
I love love what you are saying. I grew up devout Southern Baptist which in my mind is more restrictive than Moroms. As I started to read and explore outside the box I was born into I realized that God lives within me not in a 2000yr old distorted text or in a church house. It was a hard red pill to take because i had been brainwashed since the womb. Connecting with others and the Spirit within me is where God lives i believe in Transcendental wisdom.
I don't know why you would bet that. That would make me sad too. It would make me sad to see them become anything that leads them farther away/equally away from Christ.
It's not what they believe, it's what they have. A Urim and Thummim. They thought the NA they took it from were the lost ten tribes of Israel, how wrong they were and they found that out when they activatied the device. Now they have to figure it out before it's too late. It had a defense mechanism called the breath of god. You'll all soon know about that. Their time is up.
looking for love in all the wrong palces.Bride of the widow has a kickstand.
People are getting smarter!!!!!!!! As humans evolve and become more educated all religion will slowly die off. It will take a while though....hopefully the crazy religious don't go all " Let's kill them all in the name of God"
People are getting smarter!!!!!!!! As humans evolve and become more educated all religion will slowly die off. It will take a while though....hopefully the crazy religious don't go all " Let's kill them all in the name of God"
honestly, i was baptized in the lds church yesterday and i felt like i was forced into doing it. i wasnt comfortable before it and i got a very sick feeling after it. i truly do believe that the spirit of God can answer your questions and reveal the truth to you, but i also believe the book of mormon is completely false.
HEY, watch beyond and back on A and E sunday nights. People die. They float above the table. Hear conversations in the next room which are confirmed by the nurses who gave them. Visit heaven or hell etc. That whole scenario invalidates atheism. Atheism would say there is no soul nor life after death. I know its hard when you get betrayed by LDS. But thats what cults do: they lie and deceive and thuis you feel like there is no other option. I pray for a good dream for you from God to show you
@abrook888 Near death experiences are different for everyone; budists, athiests, christians, etc all have completely different experiences. I do not claim to know what happens after death, (I am noy athiest), but do not believe that the human mind is completely reliable, hence hulicinations, memory loss. Stories of tormet etc do not make much sense, if they are dead they are spirits and cannot feel pain, pain being a very physical reaction.
I read her description and she just doesn't understand; for example, she expected the Church to "solve" personal problems that missionaries had, such as eating disorders, etc. Just that sentence alone shows she doesn't understand the gospel principles. It's like she was just looking for reasons to leave the church.
@zieben64 Does that mean the ads the lds church created were also politically motivated? Is a non profit organization now trying to promote a presidential candidate? Now that you mention it, I wouldnt put it past the lds church to try and promote Romney through their "we're normal" ad "now vote for romney". You apperently did not think out your last statement before making it.
Sarah, you are typical of someone who finds out that you have been in a cult...you feel betrayed and so you turn to nothing...I would research near death experiences...for every counterfeit there is a real Jesus and a real faith you can find on your own not through "a church"
@crazistein Jesus was a real man in case you missed that and his teachings have been testefied even when the threat of death was there, millions testefied that (including in the americas) they saw him after he rose from the dead and many were killed becouse of that belief, why lie to that point if you really didnt see it?
can you do the same with those characters you mentioned? good luck with your gods though.
@SpecOpsDoctor I am just going to point out the fact that no one should care about this answer. This "Scholar" spelled testified incorrectly and is obviously just some Joseph Smith groupie.
@SpecOpsDoctor Actually "Jesus" did not exist until the Catholic church created the name. There were in fact various people who taught the same principles that the Bible promotes, have you studied the red sea scrolls? Isn't it interesting how the Book of Mormon claims that Yeshua's name would be Jesus before he was even born? Just because people die for their beliefs does not make those beliefs right, and to say that millions saw Jesus after he rose is more a lie than anything.
@crazistein what are you talking about? jesus always existed even before he was born he was Jehovah. yes i studied the dead sea scrolls and the fact nephi knew that is called revelation nothing new, The book of mormon goes further and says he would be born of mary. You should read the Book of Mormon and youll see that such doctrinal profoundness could not have been made up even in our days with knowledge and technology as allies no one can write something even close to the BoM. =)
@SpecOpsDoctor I've read and studied both the book of Mormon and the bible.why do you assume I haven't. Apparently you don't understand where the name Jesus actually cam from, otherwise you would see how insane it is to believe that the name Jesus would be used by Americans during the time of Christ let alone before he was even born. Joseph smith claimed the book of Mormon was the most correct book ever, why did the nature of christ need to be changed from the 1833 version?
@crazistein sorry but you really didnt understand the BoM or the dead sea scrolls otherwise you wouldnt be asking those questions, its irrelevant where the name jesus came from or emmanuel or yeshua it just doesnt matter the important is that there is a Christ, an atonement was made, now if we want to go somewhere with this you must ask yourself this question, is the BoM true? if it is than Joseph Smith was a prophet and so far no argument, biblical or otherwise has proven it isnt,
@SpecOpsDoctor You skipped a step.. First we need to ask if Christ really made an atonement. Relying on an emotional response to this question would be unwise when we are dealing with supposed life changing eternal truths. What would be some ways you would suggest getting rid of emotional bias and remain objective in your search for truth?
@iamanexmormon yours is a question of faith. The knowledge you are talking about comes through the holy ghost alone i cant give you an answer such as you asked because how can you prove an eternal sacrifice such as His without an emotional response? the Holy Ghost will tell you wether He atoned or not and the way the HG will tell you this is through feelings (galatians 5:22)
so yes it would be wise to rely on an emotional response if it comes from the Holy Ghost.
@SpecOpsDoctor It isn't about the name itself, its about how it was created, when it was created, by whom it was created, where the history actually came from. Have you yourself seen the documents that prove that he was a real person other than in the bible? or are you simply repeating something you heard? Have you seen the Roman documents about his trial? Where is this proof you speak of? can you provide references?
@crazistein i repeat it doesnt matter how the name came up the fact is that he existed heres some references of His disciples that were being taught by the 12 Jesus called as apostles:
"But why is it, you ask that we gather on the Lords day to celebrate our solemnities? Because that was the way the Apostles also did it." (De Fuga XIV:11, 141, 200 AD)
"He, in fulfilment of the precept according to the gospel, keeps the Lords day" (Clement of Alexandria book 7 chap 11 193 AD)
@SpecOpsDoctor There were more than 12 apostles and those writings are from 160 years after his supposed death and resurection. Your attempt to prove anything has failed. Getting past the name, how can you claim something as fact when all you have is hearsay? According to many the chupra cabra is real and eats babies, but has anyone ever found one? Just because many believe it does not make it real.
@crazistein Sorry sir but Jesus called 12 who taught those disciples what else do you need? and 160 years after is nothing and those quotes are real not just speculations and you arent even confortable with the subjects you talk about so i sugest you to get informed before bringing up a subject, i gave you proof, its there and you can find much more.or you can just simply ignore even after the proof was put before your eyes.
@SpecOpsDoctor I can see that there is no point discussing the Bible with you or it's history. You apparently don't understand anything about how it was created and by whom it was written. Next you'll probably tell me that the gospels were written by the "12" apostles themselves. Yes, at one point Jesus had only 12 apostles, because to reach 13 you need to get past 12. (Acts 1:21-23) (Luke 10:1)
@crazistein i dont have any documents about his trial because it was illegal both the roman and the jew trial so that is hard to find. but proof about the BoM you have the native brazilians who are descendents of the Lamanites referred in the BoM also the Aztec ruins and all that culture in central america come from the people in the BoM, now you do your homework and find out what the settlers found out when they got to the americas (church organization wise)
@SpecOpsDoctor Where is this proof that you speak of? Hearsay, speculation, and assumptions make up 99% of the "facts" about the Book of Mormon. Your facts are nothing more than some LDS archeologists stating "This may have been the site..." or "some believe that this is the Nephite city of....", yet no archeological proof has ever been found to even support the existance of a Nephite population that supposedly existed for 1000 years and of it's population size.
@SpecOpsDoctor Name me one non-LDS archeologist who made claims for the book of mormon. Why do you assume quoting scriptures will have an effect? I could quote scriptures that would contradict your beliefs but I don't believe it does any good. If Joseph Smith was not a prophet is it possible that the BoM s factual? I will refer you to study the Book of Abraham, its history, how it was translated, the papyri that it was translated from, etc. Joseph could not translate egyptian.
@crazistein i dont know how many archeologists worked and working on it but thay are not all LDS thats for sure becouse if they were there would be no buts or maybes, please quote away my friend, quoting scriptures is something very usefull in this matter to back up what you are saying..... you are right he could not translate egyptian on his own, thats why he had the urim and thummin
@SpecOpsDoctor Joseph only used the Urimm and thummin in the divination of the Book of Lehi, with all other divinations coming from Joseph's own seer stone. And there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Joseph attempted to use convential means to translate the BoA. (See Joseph Smith's book Egyptian Alphabet & Grammar) If Joseph had recieved revelation from God he would have seen that the papyri contained nothing more then contents from the book of breathing and stopped.
@crazistein what you said about the Book of Lehi is just false please check you facts before posting, Seer stone? you are way of from what really went down buddy, i dont know where you get this stuff.. About the BoA JS translated if its so bad i wounder why many peoply wanted to pay insane amounts of money to get them.... but like i said these things dont lead anywhere, the scriptures do...
@SpecOpsDoctor You make an extremely valid point. Why would I believe what Martin Harris and David Whitmer say about how the Book of Mormon was translated when I don't believe anything else they claimed to be true? You may want to call church and let them know that the accounts of these 2 men are incorrect and should be removed from church history. Seer stone? You don't know about the seer stone? You didn't know that JS put a stone in a hat and divinated the BoM?? Check your facts
@crazistein you said he used the urim and thummin doesnt that make you think a little?.... those instruments were of a sacred nature used by moses and some holy prophets and patriarcs what was joseph doing with them? oh my goodness you just said he was a prophet LOL
the urim and thummin were given to joseph by moroni along with the gold plates (BoM) and the sword of laban, seriously that post just cracked me up i cant stop laughing. i rest my case in this conversation
@SpecOpsDoctor I am actually starting to think that I am having a pretend conversation with a 12 year who has not yet had a chance to think for himself. Get back with me in 15 years when you've had time to think about the beliefs that your parents want you to adopt. By then the church may not even exist and we'll both have a good laugh about it (if God doesnt strike me down with lightning first)
@SpecOpsDoctor Additionally, not a single non-lds archeologist has come out in favor of the book of Mormon. In fact, many have come out stating that it is not a factual historical or geographical record of the Americas. Open your eyes, you have been duped. I know the feeling; I was duped and misinformed for a long time. I was bitter for some time, but now I feel completely free. I am not antimormon, but I feel the need to help others become informed to find their own beliefs.
@crazistein theres both opinions some say its possible some say its not possible but truth is it doesnt matter what men say its down to the question was joseph a prophet, is the BoM true? most anti JS books are written by ex members who thought he shouldnt be prohet and thus starting all these rumors we have now, you should double check your urim and thummin story and while your at it look for messiah ben-levi, messiah ben-judah and messiah ben-joseph. you sound like korihor
@SpecOpsDoctor The most condemming information actually comes from the Church, it's history, and past leaders. Brigham Young was probably the worst possible person to put at the head of the church. Even though many of his crazy teaching were not considered canonized doctirine he still taught them with a claim that his teachings came directly from God. Other leaders have made comments that are clearly not words of God. So many early leaders leaving the church should be a sign.
@SpecOpsDoctor@keez1994 is actually right. Although I am very familiar with the verse you quoted, you could have used the Bible to make the same point. The fact that you did not brings me to assume that you do not have much faith in the BIble or are not very familiar with it. (We believe that the Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly) What a great way to say "We will only accept those things from the Bible that correspond to our beliefs"
@crazistein i quoted those verses from moroni because those verses tell you to ask God if it isnt true. so it has nothing to do with the BoM or the Bible, it is to go ask directly to God in prayer, so im trying to prove the BoM true "by the power of the Holy Ghost". i quoted a few scripts from the bible already and you say i dont have faith in it? i noticed you really dont like me that you cant even think straight =)
@SpecOpsDoctor Then why not just say "Go ask God, he'll tell you?" I don't dislike you or hate you. You make a claim that something is true without any way to prove it. I only call bull shit on things that ignorant members claim to be true. I've stated and will state again: the Mormon Church’s belief system is based on speculation, emotional manipulation, justification, indoctrination, and ignorance. I feel a strong desire to shed light on the darkness created by false witnesses.
@SpecOpsDoctor Additionally, just because there isn't strong proof against the Book of Mormon does not prove that it is actually historically accurate. On the flip side, there is no strong proof that anything in it is factual. Why do Mormons continue to think that the burden of proof does not lie on them? You can't make a claim like "Jesus was a real person" without having the documents to back it up. Btw, Joseph Smith proved he had no tallent in translating with the BoA.
@crazistein its not a lie just read the BoM and youll see, in the americas when he appeared after rising from the tomb He let the people touch him one by one. does the story of quetzacotl ring any bells?
@GT500Shelby07 I was referring to real fire. We have a huge fire pit in the basement and no thanks to your porcupine suggestion, I can't I'm a mormon and I'm not into beastiality and perverted crimes against God.
Sarah is lucky that she didn't leave the mormon temple in my city because we would not accept her pleeding to God about happiness, we would baptize her with the holy fire that all atheist people receive to rid them of the dark and unclean spirit. The children would light the first matches and we would sing praises to Moroni. Coffe and tea after with little snacks.
Thanks for sharing. There is a gig gap from saved by grace and saved because a Mormon. Sorry you can't accept the salvation by grace yet, but at least you were smart enough to see the light of mormonism. You are a wise lady.
......Sarah, you talk about happiness it looks like you are not really happy......I wish you will find out soon that real happiness comes from living according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.....
I'm sorry you were unhappy with your life but I'm happy for you that you found a way to overcome that. I hope your family and friends are behaving like true Christians and loving you even though you no longer share their faith. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, aka a Mormon.
why would mormons not be christians? the proper term for mormon is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" the name Jesus Christ is right in the name.
@karatica22 ~ Mormons are not Christians because they believe a person must belong to their religion to have Salvation... Salvation is thru JESUS CHRIST, not thru a religion.
@karatica22 Actually, the original name of the church was the church of latter day saints, no Jesus in the title whatsoever. And no, the Jesus that Mormons believe in is not the same same as what Christian groups believe in. I could call my carJesus and pray to it it but that doesnt make me a Christian.
@VAIO294 you are entitled to your opinion of course, even if you are mistaken. Mormonism, to use the nickname, is not a cult in the sense you mean and in the true sense of the word is no more a cult than any other religion and probably less than many since we do not have idol, votive sites, shrines and cult images. Do some reading and inform your opinion, then it will be worth having.
@jonnno100 ~ ANY religion that says you MUST belong to their religion to have Salvation, and that if you leave their religion you LOOSE your Salvation IS A CULT.. The Mormon religion is definitely an Anti-Christ Cult.. The Mormon "jesus" is NOT the Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible.
@VAIO294 once again you fail to grasp what a cult is and make up your own definition, I fear I am wasting my time by replying to your misrepresentation of LDS beliefs. It doesn't matter what label you choose to apply to the church you won't change what it is. You can call an oak tree a sycamore all your life but it'll still be an oak tree when your dead and gone.
lol this is a funny video and i know more to come. their's nothing any one can say or tell me about LDS i know the church is true i have a strong testimony of it and this here is just a freedom to speak your mind and speak your mind is called freedom of agency choose what you want and say what you want but yes the devil is very real and so is Jesus. so please keep doing your thing you have the right to turn your back on Jesus. am not. God Bless!
@2270willyum Just read mormon history and you will find the "truth" of your great prophet Joseph...or, perhaps we just sit down and talk for a bit.....you have no idea the religion in which you trust....I am offending by your attack and your lack of desire to "know" the truth....read a book other than a Mormon book.....
@mormoncoffee Christ? Look at the history or religion...Christ is nothing more than a teacher...and there were a thousand of them at that time. try to find some information about "jesus" and then let me know what you find...and you can't use the bible....find another mention of this person....and not josephus as that is a falsehood, proven, as well....it's myth.....that is the truth...spirituality is not come from gods...it comes from a knowledge that we are all powerful and we need no saving...
@KyaniDave Found more historical Christ for! The Torah, the Talmood, the Quran, The Apocropha, and Dead Sea Scrolls. Even the Tibetian Buddhist Monks share record of Jesus(Lord Issa) visitation to India. You'll never know Him until you control your spirit. Took me a half a life time to recieve His spirit and understanding. If you want it start here, JOHN 3:3. Hope this helps.
Guys, if you're bashing mormonism, you've missed the point of this video. They aren't saying that it's wrong to be mormon...they're just saying it's alright to be an ex-mormon.
@saleebyman you are so dumb. The name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So how exactly do mormons turn away from Christ?
"Ex-Mormon?" Oh please....No body in that church says that.....If you left the church which means you are less activity in the church and still a member of the church since you got baptized. Once you got baptized in the church. Your names and everything appeared on the church's internet. They wouldn't remove your names if you are not miscommunicated for wrong doing against God's wills. I will seek your names on internet to see if you got baptized in the church. Don't be alerted!
JADEAV 1 day ago
@JADEAV Except for if you had your name removed.
ExMormon66 1 day ago
@ExMormon66 No,I am stll going there and worship God! By the way,I wasn't talking to you. The comment is for her! "Ex-mormon" makes no sense to me!! Like I said If you leave the church that means you are less activity in the church. If you do the wrong things against God's wills as breaks his law often...the church miscommunications you and keep the church sacred applying to God's Kingdom. Well did you read the whole Book of Mormon?
JADEAV 1 day ago
@JADEAV I mean excommunications you from the church....

@harmagician1 That is great but don't let them lie to you. Prophets saying that Blacks could not hold the priesthood before 1978 was not from God. You can of course be an atheist while also being a "moral, principled person"; but if there is no transcendent reality to ground moral action then it seems to me that being a "moral, principled person" means nothing more than sharing the moral prejuidices considered normative in one's culture. If there is no intrinsic right and wrong, no absolute good and bad (i.e., no frame of moral reference) then there is no REAL difference between the actions of the Taliban & a "moral, principled person".
bayreuth79 3 weeks ago
@bayreuth79 Taliban thinks they've got an absolute and divinely inspired frame of good & bad. Much like you. oops!
Deschuttes 3 weeks ago
@Deschuttes Was that supposed to be a clever riposte? I agree that the Taliban believe that they possess moral absolutes, but that is irrelevant to the point I was making. I could respond by saying that Stalin and Hitler were moral relativists, which they were, but again that would be irrelevant to the point I was making. There are good & bad people amongst absolutists and relativists; but it is ONLY the absolutists who can really meaningfully ground terms like good & bad in reality.

A person can leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but rarely can they leave it alone. Satin wants more than a person to leave the church. He wants the person to then fight against it, knock it down, bring others down. Hence, he is the Destroyer.
MrFitzwilly 3 weeks ago
@MrFitzwilly Who is this Satin?
thefogster61 3 weeks ago
@MrFitzwilly
TheKinderhookPlates 3 weeks ago
@MrFitzwilly Your comment is completely based on an assumption (your belief) that the mormon church is the only true church. If it isn't the only true church, and not true at all, then satan would want people to join the church in order to cause more confusion. Why is it that Satan gets all the credit for people leaving the church when it is actually the church's history and beliefs that do a good enough job of causing people to stop believing?

Kiersten1650, Find out the truth. Jesus is not your brother. He is God. LDS way of believing BOM: "We dont need to 'find' proofs. Its already true"
It's circular reasoning fallacy. Simply assuming a claim is true does not serve as evidence for that claim. It's like saying:

There is no evidence for LDS, only circular reasoning and absolute unquestionable obedience, who cares about right and wrong? just obey?!?!. that's a cult!

You should read the Book of Mormon and youll see that such doctrinal profoundness could not have been made up even in our days with knowledge and technology as allies no one can write something even close to the BoM. =)
SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago
@SpecOpsDoctor I've read and studied both the book of Mormon and the bible.why do you assume I haven't. Apparently you don't understand where the name Jesus actually cam from, otherwise you would see how insane it is to believe that the name Jesus would be used by Americans during the time of Christ let alone before he was even born. Joseph smith claimed the book of Mormon was the most correct book ever, why did the nature of christ need to be changed from the 1833 version?
crazistein 1 month ago
@crazistein sorry but you really didnt understand the BoM or the dead sea scrolls otherwise you wouldnt be asking those questions, its irrelevant where the name jesus came from or emmanuel or yeshua it just doesnt matter the important is that there is a Christ, an atonement was made, now if we want to go somewhere with this you must ask yourself this question, is the BoM true? if it is than Joseph Smith was a prophet and so far no argument, biblical or otherwise has proven it isnt,
SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago
@SpecOpsDoctor You skipped a step.. First we need to ask if Christ really made an atonement.
SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago
@SpecOpsDoctor It isn't about the name itself, its about how it was created, when it was created, by whom it was created, where the history actually came from. Have you yourself seen the documents that prove that he was a real person other than in the bible? or are you simply repeating something you heard? Have you seen the Roman documents about his trial? Where is this proof you speak of? can you provide references?
crazistein 1 month ago
@crazistein i repeat it doesnt matter how the name came up the fact is that he existed heres some references of His disciples that were being taught by the 12 Jesus called as apostles:
"But why is it, you ask that we gather on the Lords day to celebrate our solemnities? Because that was the way the Apostles also did it." (De Fuga XIV:11, 141, 200 AD)
"He, in fulfilment of the precept according to the gospel, keeps the Lords day" (Clement of Alexandria book 7 chap 11 193 AD)
SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago
@SpecOpsDoctor There were more than 12 apostles and those writings are from 160 years after his supposed death and resurection. Your attempt to prove anything has failed. Getting past the name, how can you claim something as fact when all you have is hearsay? According to many the chupra cabra is real and eats babies, but has anyone ever found one? Just because many believe it does not make it real.
crazistein 1 month ago
@crazistein Sorry sir but Jesus called 12 who taught those disciples what else do you need? and 160 years after is nothing and those quotes are real not just speculations and you arent even confortable with the subjects you talk about so i sugest you to get informed before bringing up a subject, i gave you proof, its there and you can find much more.or you can just simply ignore even after the proof was put before your eyes.
SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago

SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago
@SpecOpsDoctor Where is this proof that you speak of? Hearsay, speculation, and assumptions make up 99% of the "facts" about the Book of Mormon. Your facts are nothing more than some LDS archeologists stating "This may have been the site..." or "some believe that this is the Nephite city of....", yet no archeological proof has ever been found to even support the existance of a Nephite population that supposedly existed for 1000 years and of it's population size.

SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago
@SpecOpsDoctor Joseph only used the Urimm and thummin in the divination of the Book of Lehi, with all other divinations coming from Joseph's own seer stone. And there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Joseph attempted to use convential means to translate the BoA. (See Joseph Smith's book Egyptian Alphabet & Grammar) If Joseph had recieved revelation from God he would have seen that the papyri contained nothing more then contents from the book of breathing and stopped.

@SpecOpsDoctor Did you just use the Book of Mormon, to prove that the Book of Mormon was true? Do you realize how boneheaded that is?

@keez1994 did you just post this without reading the verses? do you realize how boneheaded that is?
SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago
@SpecOpsDoctor @keez1994 is actually right.

SpecOpsDoctor 1 month ago

This is the sadness of Mormonism. It taints the real love of the real Jesus. The Jesus of Mormonism is not the Jesus of the Bible.

@jonnno100 ~Mormons are not "Christians",, it's a Cult.
.
VAIO294 1 month ago
why would mormons not be christians? the proper term for mormon is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" the name Jesus Christ is right in the name.
karatica22 1 month ago
@karatica22 ~ Mormons are not Christians because they believe a person must belong to their religion to have Salvation... Salvation is thru JESUS CHRIST, not thru a religion.
.
VAIO294 1 month ago
@karatica22 Actually, the original name of the church was the church of latter day saints, no Jesus in the title whatsoever. And no, the Jesus that Mormons believe in is not the same same as what Christian groups believe in. I could call my carJesus and pray to it it but that doesnt make me a Christian.
crazistein 1 month ago
@VAIO294 you are entitled to your opinion of course, even if you are mistaken. Mormonism, to use the nickname, is not a cult in the sense you mean and in the true sense of the word is no more a cult than any other religion and probably less than many since we do not have idol, votive sites, shrines and cult images. Do some reading and inform your opinion, then it will be worth having.
jonnno100 1 month ago
@jonnno100 ~ ANY religion that says you MUST belong to their religion to have Salvation, and that if you leave their religion you LOOSE your Salvation IS A CULT.. The Mormon religion is definitely an Anti-Christ Cult.. The Mormon "jesus" is NOT the Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible.
.
VAIO294 1 month ago
@VAIO294 once again you fail to grasp what a cult is and make up your own definition, I fear I am wasting my time by replying to your misrepresentation of LDS beliefs. It doesn't matter what label you choose to apply to the church you won't change what it is. You can call an oak tree a sycamore all your life but it'll still be an oak tree when your dead and gone.
jonnno100 1 month ago
@jonnno100 ~ You don't believe it's a Cult because NO ONE who is in a Cult ever believes they're in a Cult, while they're still in it.
I pray you will put down the BOM and turn to the REAL Jesus Christ of the HOLY BIBLE so that you can be saved.

lol this is a funny video and i know more to come. their's nothing any one can say or tell me about LDS i know the church is true i have a strong testimony of it and this here is just a freedom to speak your mind and speak your mind is called freedom of agency choose what you want and say what you want but yes the devil is very real and so is Jesus. so please keep doing your thing you have the right to turn your back on Jesus. am not.

KyaniDave 1 month ago

My only thing is this, dont let Mormonism turn you away from Jesus!

@saleebyman you are so dumb. The name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So how exactly do mormons turn away from Christ?
kwebb42 1 month ago
@kwebb42
look im really not trying to offend, but i honestly believe with all my heart that Mormons believe in a fake Christ
u got Biblical Christianity which states that a person is saved exclusively through faith in Jesus,
nd u hav The LDS Church teaches that a person is saved through Jesus as well as LDS
Church Membership, Obedience, WORKS! Both these positions contradict each other and cannot be considered the same Jesus
