this is how i started out learning guitar because I learned by myself and there was no one to tell me that i was playing the "wrong" way. Then I learned the "correct" left handed way, but when I play electric guitar I play backwards. My teacher even said that playing left handed is the wrong way, but there's absolutely no wrong way to play guitar! C:

i am learning to play left handed. I used to play right but I had a sever injury to my left arm and now i cant use my fingers on the frets so i am switching hands its not an easy thing to do considering all how to videos are right handed so i have to switch everything. so its good to see some people playing left handed

I play upside down, left handed as well. When asked how or why I play it that way, I say that it is just the way it felt most natural when I first started playing years ago. I've been playing too long now to switch to 'normal'.

You just kinda go with whats comfortable. Like for a full G Id always use my thumb for the high B and E string. The actual chord fingerings are the same, you just have to use different fingers to hold them down sometimes.

Pretty cool. He's learned to play a right-handed guitar left-handed. The big string is on the bottom. That's the way Dick Dale learned to play too.

@klrood123 It's not that hard. I have found some great deals. One local store had a 1996 Fender P-bass 60th anniversary edition which had a real diamond on the headstock. They were asking $1399. After it sat on the shelf for 3 years collecting dust it finally was purchased for $999.

Now, I realize that's a bass, but I have seen similar things happen with guitars. Be patient; one will come to you. I have 5 very nice ones now. It helps having a friend who knows guitars. Find one.

There isn't really a problem, so long as you build up the muscle/control in your right hand. I find playing left-handed unnecessery.

it depends on if you swap your down strum for a up stum, but realy you should use your syle to add other dimentions to your music,(or learn both ways) its also good to relate an up or down strum to the on and off beat!! hope it helps gl...

I'm just learning how to play a left handed right handed... I started because at my cottage we all sit around and play ... they play rights... so instead of switching one... i just flipped it...
