  • wow...he's good! I can only do 71.

  • a person in my school did 118 in 1 min i think and after he was done his eyes were red..he also did 110 pushups in min

  • Comment removed

  • this is stupid

  • come on' howard!

  • Don't know in how long, but I did 150 today.

  • 64 in a minute.

  • they r holding legs quite a bit. that makes it easier almost like they r pulling him up

  • like to see him do proper sit ups, hands across your chest, straight back.

  • Try actually doing a situp, you used your bloody ass and your head didn't reach the floor so you will ruin your spine and neck. including your posture! Also someone sitting on your feet bloody easy you had two minuates too do 105... Mate if your use your Abs more you will give your self a belly push which will also ease main body flow... Put your hands on your chest or temple not the back of your head!

  • That was not that impressive, and that was way more than one minute he had already started when the video starts and goes till 1:50.

  • Situps are not hard when someone is sitting on your legs!!!!! Trying doing that with no support!

  • guys its frikken timed. even i can do 200 in as much time as i like, but he did 105 in 1 min. so SHUTUP!!

  • @shmuck55 1:54 actually...

  • ummmmm i dont think that its hard at all when somebody is holding your legs that is not skill!

  • This is not sit up. the style and position are worm sits up.

in sits up, You don;t use your ass. you use your abs.

  • Dude thats hella easy, i can do 600 sit ups with perfect posture, and im only 12 years old!

  • i can do tht and ive got a bad back i timed myself it isent grate but it is in 1.35 mins

  • But ya'll gotta remember this was a timed sit ups race.

So there was really no time for him to pace himself

he had to go as fast as he could in 1 min..

  • wow no offence but dont go to fast man it gets you tried today i did 630 sit ups non stop

  • im 3 i can do 867 in half minute

  • I did a thousand this morning without stopping and without someone holding my feet...

  • jeahh

but i can do 350 sit ups ;)

  • His mom did 105 sit-ups.

  • I counted 102

  • @YMRInumba1 I counted 103 :D

  • lol 100 is weak...300 is more like it

  • lol 105 sit ups.......i do 100 when i wake up and b4 i go to sleep lol, sometimes i do them with 10 lb behind my neck

  • u can do over 5k sit ups and u wont get a six pack u have to get it ripped by riding ur bike or running or ridding roller blades

  • I've got a six pack and never do sit ups.

Abs are worked in most body weight exercises anyway.

Remember it is impossible to spot reduce, so you could do 1,000 situps a day and you may never ever get a six pack.

  • agree with mikeportnoyfan

  • now there some fucking sit-ups

  • These guys are right, it isn't that impressive. I can do about 200 with no break, or in excess of 80 per minute. You did decent, but don't quit your day job (if you have one!)

  • its impressive, but u shouldnt be going that fast when training, its not about the speed, its about the quality of the workout

  • Damn right agreed!

Look at that, cranking the neck, swinging the arms and pushing off the legs.

  • congratulations...

  • im 12 i do 67 in a min

  • how cum they can do lots of situps but prob havnt got ripped abs ? i dont get it do u have to let them rest for a day then do them again?

  • You need to do a variation of ab work. Situps alone are not good enough

  • how big or ripped the actual muscle is doesn't matter, it's the fat covering the muscle which makes it appear either flat or cut. To do that you need to combine weight training with cardio, preferably HIIT which is scientifically proven to be the most effective at burning fat, along with calorie reduction.

  • and eat less fat..not sure about reducing calories

  • i did 150 in gym last weak

  • u have no clue what your talking about my dad is a former drill instructor in airforce six pack is caused by hard work dedication and sit ups i have a 4 pack from sit ups

  • eating less fat makes ur sixpack look better, thats a well known fact...

  • i have a 4 pack and im skinny but i wrestle lol and yea your so right man food has so much to do with it i just drink water no cokes

  • @Az260790UK Not fat. Carbs...

  • I'm a certified personal trainer and yes being able to many sit-ups is a good physical feat but it also means nothing. No way can you have nice 6 pack abs with constant repetitive sit-ups. You need variety and to be able to do "984" sit-ups non stop is a big so what from me.

  • hahaha angrygun, u got that right;)hahah!!

  • everyone can pull up there head, just saying, put your hands on your stomach, your only cheating yourself this way, and wasting your energy lol

  • no bet the fat ass to the left could not have even done 1 situp

  • all you people that say you can do better! Just post it on here and the views will be the judge of that. If you can do better, then good for you but why the verbal abuse? and to all the peeps that lie about how the can do this that and the other....they are even biggers losers!

  • umm i don't really care as a gurl just was bored and strolled through the vids but doing that much in a minute is a wow ^^

  • try 150 ;) lol

  • lol i saw his vagina

  • lol dats kewl

  • Pathetic, I've done 90 in a minute. I should post a youtube video with my world record.

  • i do 70 a minut for 12 minutes fucker. try doing that. i have done 125 in a mute.

  • im 12 and i do 65 is that good? :D

  • i em 13 en i do 150

  • well it depends on your weight etc, but doing 65 is better thn doing 0, just try and raise it slowly

  • @SpeedPastYou yea ur fuckin funy bro

  • i used to do this is p.e. average athletic kids could get around 150

  • uh in one minute i do 125. i do 984 without stopping every day.

  • Only?

  • I dont think you should believe that haha

  • Im gonna have to say that I think your are lying sonny boy

  • not even 1

  • wtf is this

  • they're just srewing up their backs by doing those, stupid...

  • if you have a really well worked core would it will mess up your back though?

  • well the thing is, he is doing the sit up completely wrong. 1) he is pulling his neck up and 2) he is curling his whole upper body lol. This can work out the abs but if you do it correctly it prob wont hurt your back. Im not a professional though

  • Ever notice how the people who have the worst things to say about people on youTUBE are usually the ones with nothing posted?

  • this was a waster of 1.53 of my life

  • Lol someone should tel him hes guna hurt is neck and show him how to do them the right way.

  • just 105 situps in 2 minutes? nice job man, wrong way, well the easy way to do them but nice but step it up too 160 hands over chest if u wanna play wit the big dogs, lol, stay up and god bless

  • wtf!?

  • GO HOWARD!!

  • excuse me! i am not lying, absolutely not. my first vid is coming in just 2 weeks and you will see

why cant cha belive a kid? and i did take my time doing them, since sit ups saved my life

when i had surgery sit ups took a lot of pain away

so how dare you rate my comment, a completely true one, thumbs down!? im not feeling appreciated at this moment

  • that's not a sit up

  • Yup, these are sit-ups, but just in another way, the wrong one...But if they want to do it the wrong way, and cry later, then who cares :)

  • i am 11 years old and am a sit up champion

    once i did 3000 in a row

i am not lying and when i post my first vid i will show you

  • lol

  • lol this kid then woke up and saw his momz sucking my dick XD

  • lol and im sure you did it like this guy in the video... sorry but that not the way to do it.

  • yea the way ur mom sucked my shit too lol sry couldnt hide the truth random

  • Yes JS2393 That is how NOT do a sit up if you want to no how to do a sit up SEARCH (sit ups)in the youtube bar thing and go on the top one

  • Stop spamming on youtube.

  • Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't putting your hands on the back of your neck/head dangerous for your spine? O_o

  • @JS2393 you're right.

  • @JS2393

No, only if you use your hands have the nasty habit of pulling your head toward your chest. The hazard of sit-ups lies in...arching your spine at the bottom, then rounding it out as you raise your chest to your knees. At least that's what I've experienced. When I go for max sit-ups, I try to keep the bend in my spine constant.

  • hes not doing the sit ups right what is that the special olympics?

  • LMAO! "special" olympics jaja

  • lol u like my comment =)

  • wtf is that???

u dont use ur neck to pull uself up!

    ull fkn kill urself

  • LOLOLOLOL

  • sorry but they did a very important mistake....

their legs have to be 90° to their body,if their legs aren't so it is much easier and dont work to 100%

  • Shut up you worthless idiot.

  • you sound like your gay

  • talk about headache

  • your not supposed curl your back so much..

you'll know what I'm talking about a few years down the lane but as this was a comp its alrite

  • Dude... that would have been hard. fair enough it might not be the best technique but it's obviously a comp not a workout. stop disin

  • Its endurance not speed that is the key, going way fast like that you could like strain your neck pulling on it like he did...105 isn't that many either, especially that style, legs flat on the mat with arms across the chest is harder, check you the record breaker video titled "Mark Pfeltz Sets World Record For sit ups", his legs are straight not bent up.

  • Get a grip and do your research. In 1986 it might have been acceptable to do it like that but as its 2008.....your legs are supposed to be bent, to do it with straight legs places unessesary strain on your lumber region of the spine. Arms near your head is harder as it is further away from your pivot point (hips). Its good to have an opinion but do your best to make sure it is informed and correct.

  • Who cares?

  • lmao anyone can bounce off the mat

  • What's that stupid shit? Everyone can go on for ages like that, it's not how you do proper situps.

  • @Nelarsen those are standard situps for the APFT in the army. try them. they're harder than you think

  • have u ever took classes in body building? exactly....

  • its better to have your arms across your chest and to relax your neck or else you can strain something in your neck. This can especially happen if you do that many reps because you tighten the muscles in your neck every time you go up

  • lol fags

  • I'm still confused with the sit-ups vs. crunches...my knees are at a 90 degree angle ( feet flat on the floor) and my arms are folded across my chest..I'm assuming that's a sit up but can someone explain a little bit more on the crunches? thanks :)

  • stop doing situps before you seriously hurt your self.

  • lmao what a lewser, dont even know how to do a sit up. and people think he did 105 he did 0 in reality

  • noooo thats actualy how u do sit ups but w.e

  • lmao yea but now he can suck his own dick ahahaha

  • faggots

  • it was 102

  • if i were you i would just do it the way it is most comfortable to you. i prefer it with my arms crossed

  • but you howard, killer300118 or also known as howard xu IS FAT xD

  • -.- shut up you penis

  • your howard... im howard also ...

  • the key to doing situps is to do them slowly and correctly. unless this whole speed thing was for kicks, it is useless to do situps fast like that.

  • i agree and disagree....you shouldn't grip hte bakc of your head because it does create stress on your neck, but you i think you get more of a workout if you put your hands by your ears so you are still sitting up the weight of you arms too.

  • wow i typed that too fast, sry for all the mispellings

  • is that army phase one training your talking about? cause im joining the ta in january and i prefer doing them like that (arms across the chest) but wasnt sure if they would let you do them like that.

  • Cheers, was looking for the right way to do them.

  • Thats pretty crazy. Really Fast sit ups, not the most effective, but holy crap. Id have to train a while to be that good. Lol

  • most places tell you not to place hands behind your head as this put stress on your neck and makes you curl at the neck and not at your core

  • There is heaps of different ways to do sit ups! This is just one variation people, there is no 'proper' way, there is just different ways and this is a very very good effort of doing them with hands behind head and legs held. There will be different results and amounts with every variation, who cares if one way is harder etc, nowhere does the video say this is the hardest or only way to do them, get a life people its a good effort and 99.95% of the population cant do this!!!

  • I have, and yes there is a proper way, you have to have a right angle basically at legs, have arms in a marine position and inhale/exhale, more effective takes time, speedy is easy, i could probably do 200 fast sit-ups,

  • There can be records for every differentway u close minded fool, there is no law set in stone saying there is one legit way and one way only. get a life, there can be records for every variation not just what u think is the only possible way.

  • i'm a close minded fool? catch up with the 21st century there geek. I do football and they teach us the "Proper" way. Its a way thats effective, the sit-ups he does are in no way effective, we had the pacer test and i got 214 sit-ups on it. so stfu and gtfo you little kid

  • Hahahahaha yes close minded is assuming I am a certain age etc.. Haha thanks for proving my point. Yeah they are effective toolbag I have seen his awesome six pack. So dont talk about thing you dont know about, oh yeah and thinking there is one way to do things and one way only e.g the 'proper' way is close minded. Hahaha. This is a great effort his way. End of story. Oh I do football haha, do you do it? You don't play it you 'do it' haha.

  • And dont talk the talk unless you want to post a video of you doing 214 on a pacer fool, anybody can talk smack through the net. I dont think you can do it and anyone else seeing your comments would either so give it a rest with getting your dreams mixed up with your capabilities.

  • guys - chill.

  • As for this "Howard"... it seems he's just done a good job on developing explosive endurance.

  • wow that "howard" is good im badly impressed

  • omfg fucking stupid

  • Fast - true. 100 - true. But they're no sit-ups. Not with your whole head hidden in your arms and the legs doing half of the work :]

  • Actually, thats EXACTLY what a "sit up" is.

Sit ups are not the same as crunches.

  • xD your not supposed to have your hands behinde your head, but crossed over each other using your abs only xD

    there so cheating xD

I can do 125 without using my hands though :3

  • That's awesome! Pls check out my ultra extreme ab crunch core work out; click on my name. Cheers!

  • True. You shouldn't fold your hands behind your back, keep them folded in front of your chest.

  • It's easier that way. Hands behind your head is the proper method, as long as you don't pull on your neck. Your hands should just be touching the back of your head.

  • r u serious?? i used 2 do it with the hands behind the head but i got a reallly bad neck injury which went on for 3-4 days and it was hella annnoying!!! an advice do not do situps with ur hands behind ur neck or head

  • Yeah, you're going to hurt yourself if you use your arms to pull you up, like an idiot. You are supposed to just place your hands behind your head, just touching it with your finger tips. This puts the weight of your arms above your abs which gives you a better workout.

  • I do a workout routine that involves 300 situps with my arms crossed over my chest... would I find a difference if I switched to doing them behind my back?

  • 300 sit ups isn't good for very much. There's simply few activities that require you to perform a crunch type movement for that many times, meaning there's very little functional carry over in what you're doing. Like any other exercise, a crunch should usually be kept below 20 reps.

  • What record are they going for?

  • I think it must be the most situps in 2 minutes. I'd like to see the "most situps in 10 minutes" contest!.

  • the way he does than is bad for your neck, really unsafe. and i would totally pwn howard!! i do the properly (hands on chest, not damaging my neck) and without curled spine. and i do them faster,he got 101 in 113 secs, in 113 secs i'd get about 150 something. when i fiund my camera (lik i said ni other comments) ill do sit ups/pushups

  • i agree. stupid way of doing them

  • OK do it. Where is your post of you doing it better then???

  • because the faster you go you need stability. and since its a comp im sure theres a time limits.

  • why are the feet holders using their whole body weight to assist them?? the correct way to do it is by just using hands to hold the feet

  • Correct for whom? The military? I think it's fine.

  • its not about how many u do stupid shit its about HOW u do it i kan get as much workout with 50 sit ups than how ever many u did

  • in a competition you're not doing them to work the abs... actually, working them as little as possible will benefit you IN A COMPETITION

  • 101 not 105 ahahaha

  • Whoa! Dude can almost do them as fast as me!! Impressive.

  • they are fucking up theeir boddy instead of working it out their are pulling their head way to much

  • go howard! its ur birthday!

  • howard toe nou, eehhm koppie dr bij

  • they must be tired as fuck!!!hey situps is the hardest execise to do man,no shittin

  • i say push-ups for me

  • Oh ya the lady in the yellow likes it.lol

she thinks your legs are sexy.lol

  • isnt it bad to put ur hands behind ur head when your doing that??

  • yes, it is. that is NOT the correct way to do it. (i mean, yes it is bad.)

  • i did 400 once no joke i swear to god

  • how is this amazing ???? i can do it in my sleep???? the best sit ups are when you lay down on the floor and put ur legs 1 foot above the ground and ur head is up and you just hold still from 3+ mins

  • See how long you can hold your legs up 12 inches off the floor with knees straight! Thats a real test!

  • 1ft = 12" lmao thats the same thing i said o.o

  • I would love to see a video of someone holding this position for over 3 minutes! Can you do this? Or have you ever seen a video of someone doing it? My best is about 3 minutes 20 seconds but when I was younger I once did it for 6 minutes 15 seconds. I thought I was tough until I saw a teen age girl do it for over 8 minutes! Wow! I would love to see someone try this on U tube.

  • Who is the guy in back who keeps going after the front guy quits? How many did he do?

  • go howard!!!

  • thats good training to suck your own dick

  • amazing

  • Impressive! Is this your personal best to date?

  • i did 1000 situps at my kickboxing club to prove a point....

  • Hell to the yeah. That's awesome.
