  • This was Margaret Whiting's last hit. She saved the best for last

  • @bmilbert56

    I agree 100%

    Thank you.

  • The only song by Margaret Whiting that I remember is "I hate to see me go" which had some airplay in 1968. I haven't been able to find it anywhere, on YouTube, iTunes, or whatever. I would really like to hear it again. Anyone know where I might find it?

  • RIP Maggie..thank you for the years of beautiful music..

  • this is how I feel for my best Friend. he has my heart and does nothing about it..Baby if you get this either love me or leave me but do not break my heart over and over again...for this girl is so much in love with you that all YOU have to do is tell me you want me and I am yours!

  • Know just what that's like!!

  • Yes. I think we've all been there at least once. Thanks for favoriting this video.

  • Jonquil,

Thank you for your nice comment and for favoriting the video. Although Margaret's name is pronounced as though it contains an 'E', according to most sources, including Wikipedia, it is spelled without one.

  • Nice compliment to Margaret... and she certainly deserves it.

  • Love to hear Maggie and the life of the daughter of the famous composer Richard Whiting. She truly loved her Father and was extremely proud of him.She had great hits in the late 1940's,not only with Jimmy Wakely, but on her own as a great singer in her own right.

  • Yes, she does have a lovely voice.

    Thank you!

  • You're gonna learn the truth the hard way but what you learn you'll always know

That it's bad luck to hurt somebody when that somebody loves you so

It may be today or it may be tomorrow

You'll have to pay when your payment is due

And maybe then you'll realize just how much pain you've put me through

When the wheel of hurt comes wheeling round to you..

  • This is one of her most beautiful songs she has ever recorded...I play this everyday..thanks for posting this beauty
