  • omg i amgoing to make one

  • i just made one for my brother. his bday is today. out of red fleece.

  • These have been around since at least the 70's, and I'd bet even earlier than that (the 1940's always surprise me with the available fashions you wouldn't think dated to that period). These are my FAV type of winter hat, and I'm always on the look out at thrift stores for them since they're kinda rare. Awesome tutorial for making them! I'm excited to try this out!

  • thats pretty cool

  • woot woot I'm going to try this for a christmas gift! but I cant sew...looks like I better learn...

  • You could also try fabric glue or bonding tape, but let's face it, its not as permanent on something like these that's going to stretch a lot. I'm lazy about hemming, so I glue just about anything that won't show the glue through the fabric! ; p Just grab a friend and learn how to straight stitch and back stitch on a machine and you'd be AMAZED at how much you can do with just that little knowledge!

  • lol amazing.

  • I wannna make one of these with BUNNY EARS! X3 Or even kitty ears! :D

That would be so useful during autumn anime conventions.

  • @TheADHDshinigami OMG TO CUUUTTTEEEE!!!! I'm going to make one with bunny ears then cat lol

  • @TheADHDshinigami omg i just ordered one from a website, I u want the url just message me ^_^ KITTY EARS ON A STRAIGHT GUY FTW

  • @TheADHDshinigami how would you add kitty ears? not to sound stupid or anything

  • @undeciedwithlife02 Doesn't sound stupid at all. :) And I would just look up a tutorial on how to attatch kitty ears to a hat. Google is your freind in this situation.

  • dis stuff is sooo wicket!

  • Ah! I must make one!

  • My college is basically in the Arctic Tundra, so I'm totally making this for the upcoming winter.

  • Thats so cool

    thanks4 shared :)

  • This is genius...

  • I love all of their diy projects but I don't have a sewing machine :'(

  • theres always the good old "do it by hand" :D ! but thts a lot harder x_x

  • my ma made me one back in kindergarten but she just knitted a wide scarf then stitched the middle of one side

  • Baaaahhhh! When i was 15, my Ma had something like this that i appropriated. i took all kinds of flak for wearing it all the time, but whatever, i thought i rocked. Which i do.

  • I wan't one !!!!!

  • I used to wear them in like kindergarten.

    ha.

  • You guys rock ^^

  • This is a brilliant idea. I'm going to london in 5 weeks, so this would be great to use! THANKS :)

  • ok, if possible, can you make a kitty beanie you no a beanie with a kitty ear. PLZZZ. i found in the store but it cost too much so i hope you can make a video of it THXX

  • It's really easy I've been making them for years. All you really have to do is make to half circles and ears (basicly two triangles sewn together x2) Sew the ears so that their on the inside so that when you flip it rightside out they're on the outside.

And be sure to measure your head so it's big enough. And make sure it's long enough and if it's too long just fold it up for extra warmth. Besides it can never be too long it's just makes good ear warmers. <3

  • wow... perfect solution! I always need to wear something over my head, but don't want to put a whole hoodie on... wow. I have to try this!!

  • haha thats pretty cool

  • Hey where's Corrine in this ep?

  • I'm planning on making one!! :)

  • gawd. i searched high and low to find my sister's boyfriend an aviator hat for xmas, and I coulda just up and made him a "scoodie."

  • that was interesting =]

  • This reminds me of an old Simpsons episode:

"You've ruined a perfectly good" sweater.

    To which you should reply:

"Incorrect," VennomFangX. "Two perfectly good" sweaters--I made two of these abominations.

  • you guys are great!

i'd love to learn how to put animal ears on hoods, they're cute and functional at halloween. yeah, a little late, but its still fun!

  • KewL idea =D. I might try it ;).

  • love it! i went out and got some fabric that matched my school colors for $5 and took less than a hour to make mine! thanks!

  • secondhandsmoke: high quality, super sharp scissors that have only ever been used on fabric. The ones in your mom's craft drawer will not work!

  • lmfao a scoodie lol

  • how do you guys cut up fabrics and old clothing and make it so straight? ever single time i've tried cutting things it comes out very uneven and looking horible.

    any tips?
