  • I wish the level of programming I did at university matched that. In my 3rd year they only just started teaching basic windows application development.

    Many thanks for the complements, its the product of hours of hard work and sticking my head inside math books. Plus I did a great university course, which I highly reccomend.

    The movement of the Trees, bushes and shrubs because of the "wind" is just awesome.

    The shape of the landscape is impressive and looks really well.

    Im curious about the shrubs... Did you made them procedurally too? I'd like to see how to do it. If you know of a tutorial or something to create stuff like that.

    Textures look great too. Maybe the water was a bit fast. Perlin?

  • a vertex normal is the average of all the neighboord faces..

    hint : require 2 passes.

    first pass to calculate the faces normal (faceted result)

    second pass to apply average to it.

  • Yeah, but you don't need to do it in realtime.

    (also, I think you mean neighbouring faces).
