I look back at Sanpe in the Sorcerers Stone when he's in the girls restroom affter they knocked the Giant out, and he has a hurt leg and limping, he was always getting beat up to protect Harry, even in Azkaban (my favorite) when he catches him with the marauders map, he was only looking after him and Harry smarts off to him. Snape took alot of bull from Harry and vice versa. Then he knocks him out in the shrieking shack...etc...

Actually, Lily and Severus were friends for 4 years in a half. (not including childhood)

You see, in the middle of 5th year Lily ended their friendship after Severus called her a mudblood.

Sorry, I forgot to write my message. I was going to say I agree to. At first I trusted him after all the times he saved Harry's butt; but then after Half Blood Prince I hated him. ( I actually yelled at the book.) Then after that life changing chapter I loved him again and cried thinking of how horrible I was for not trusting him. Jo is a wonderful weighed because no other book has got me that worked up and emotional... You go girl!

the effect of snape's memories on me while i read the book was incredible, because it was such a sudden change of opinion and outlook. i disliked snape until that point, because, of course, i thought he had betrayed dumbledore. but when i found out the truth, suddenly i felt overwhelming compassion for him, for the first time in the series! this just made me love the series, and specifically the seventh book, that much more. only an amazing author like jk rowling can createthat effect on readers

ok soo what i think is that lilly and snape should have been best friends, they should have dated and then i think they would relize they're too diffrent and should have become friends because they have a best friend sort of realationship, and lilly and james have a romatic relationship. so in short lily+snape= friends and james + lilly= romance

I keep reading comments on how Snape would have been better if Lily hadn't left him, but there was a build up to it. She got tired of defending him to her other friends, and "Mudblood" was it. Obviously, it was that one word that pushed her too far, the one action that proved all her other friends right.

I love this video, and I think Snape is one of the greatest characters of the series, but he did this all to himself.

I really think that if Lily would have at least stayed friends with Severus things would have been so different. I don't think you can choose who you love and I don't think Lily loved Severus in that way but it would have been hard for Lily to know his feelings and not be able to return them.
