  • shut up, drink yerrr Gin!

  • Is this performance available on dvd or video?

  • The best fagin since Ron Moody

  • Jeg får frysninger av Fagin altså!

I get chills of Fagin in other words!

  • JP is a kameleon..though my favorite is his engeneer from miss Saigon..

  • Jonathan Pryce owns this part. He was awesome!

  • OMG year i was born

  • Fagin: Are you hungry?

    Oliver: Yes...

Fagin: Would you like a sausage?

    -------------------------------

Boy: OY! THESE SAUSAGES ARE MOLDY!

Fagin: Shuddup and drink your gin

i LOVE Fagin. Can you believe that the man who is playing Fagin was Governor Swann in Pirates?!

  • Wow! I never knew Jonathan Pryce could sing and do brawdy London as well as posh governor! He's really good!

  • I am lucky enough to be working on the current Oliver! at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and I wish so much that Jonathan Pryce was playing Fagin again, he's amazing. And he helped pay for my drama school fees so an all round brilliant guy!

  • I wanted to see Rowan Atkinson play Fagin....I bet that was hilarious....I will be seeing the current version on the 24th of October.

  • my cousin was in this

  • who was he ?

  • well sort of

she was in the Rowen atkinson one recently and she was only in the chorus but still

  • I really don't like the way this boy plays Oliver. It seems he always has the same facial expression! And I also think his voice sounds to happy.

  • yeah his face is funny nd his neck is funny lol!!!!!!!!!!!!fagin is gd nd fagins gang

  • yea i have to agree, its a shame cos jonathan pryce and the rest of the rest do this number so well

  • atkinson is quite different, so he can do aside from mr. bean

  • I saw this on my first trip to england, I was six years old and laughed my ass off at every single thing Jonathan Pryce did. ,even when I wasn't supposed to- I just thought he was completely great. He was probably thinking "WHO THE HELL IS THAT" the whole time, I was laughing so loud. He is still one of my faovrite actors esp. in Brazil

  • what a cool fagin, i thought rowan atkinson was gr8 but pryce has it too a tea

  • he was really good, possibly better than the orignal fagin in my opinion

  • who is playing oliver? james byng?

  • definetely the best fagin since ron moody!

  • weyhey

It's Governer Swann from Pirates of the Carribean!

    he's really good

  • and adam sandler's dad in bedtime stories =p

  • "These sausage's are moldy! Shut up and drink your gin!" xD

  • Im seeing it in 2 weeks :D Im sooo excited, my friend is in it aswell :)

  • I loved this.

  • whats the openin curtain for the show like

  • Is this like the broadway version? It's Amazing. This Oliver is a ton better than the one in the movie!

  • This excerpt is from the 1994 London Palladium production with Jonathan Pryce as FAGIN, Sally Dexter as NANCY and Miles Anderson as BILL SIKES. I agree with your view, however this was made to parallel the movie in many ways. It's brilliant.

  • FAGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN! LOL!

  • WHAAAAAAAT?!?

  • "These sausage's are moldy! Shut up and drink your gin!"

  • I think snooglefry... was quoting Fagin's opening line..

  • my friend just got cast as doger in the national tour of oliver. no lie

  • Great!!!!!!! Who is he??

  • His name is colin

  • Jonathan Pryce was a great choice for fagin! And the trick w/ the walking stick was very good.

  • the original fagis is the best!

  • It's Fagin, not fagis.

  • sorry, yes, fagin, just a typographical error.

  • My brothers in this performance, his the tallest fella in the green jacket. He Was part of the original casting in the west end.

  • is that the kid from the recording

  • james bourne from busted was in this version of show (palladuim) xx

  • the dodger is paul bailey but is the oliver gregory bradley or james dailey?

  • normaly is oliver played by Jon Lee how was a member of the popband Sclub7. he played oliver at the age of 12 (1994) and other cast members where Jonathan Pryce as Fagin.

  • looks like gregory.

  • cool! thanks!

  • that stick trick at 2:53 was quite good, im impressed

  • johnathon does fagin quite well =)

  • im playing oliver in my theatres production! so excited!

  • awesum! good luck! which theatre are you at?

  • just a local one called the angles theatre.

  • Johnathon is very funny in this

  • I like Jonathan as Fagan, he puts his own touches on the role.

  • two things at 0:57

    1) the boy in the background looks like liam mower

    2) oliver looks like connie fisher!

but these are great clips! i think sally is amazing as nancy!

  • he's more cockeny than dodger and not a bit jewish! there's no tempo at all and whoever directed him has no understanding of the lyrics. thou full credit to jonathan he seems to have been in every film/show going!!

  • i also played in the production as Knife grinder some months ago. this guy is brilliant as fagin

  • I was Knife Grinder a couple of years ago, heh "Kniiiives, knives to griiiiind!" hehe. As for Fagin.. Jonathan Pryce plays the same character in any role. He's "okay" as Fagin.

  • He screws up the tempo after he turns the cane into the hankey.

  • Excellent!

  • would you like a sausage? HAHAHAHAHA

  • I did this play n i woz the strawberry seller i had to sing ded high n i lost my voice on the day so i sounded like a frog :)

  • How did Fagin turn the cane thing into a handkerchief?

  • LOVE THIS!!!! i woz in this show!!! i woz 1 of the kids in othanige and ad a lil solo i woz wel proud coz i woz oml like 10

  • "Shut up and drink yer gin!" XD best line EVAH!

  • Where was this production: int the UK? America? WHERE?

  • This production opened at the London Palladium back in 1994

  • WOULD YOU LIKE A SAUSAGE?!

  • I love the way he says that lol

  • I love it when Dodger screams "FAAAAAAAGIIIIN!". XD Kudos to all the actors and actresses.

...Dodger looks and sounds exactly like the seven-year-old version of my friend's sister's brother...O.o

  • i've played olvier and dodger! haha

  • i also played oliver in holland.. :D

  • I'm so glad you posted this since I didn't get a chance to see it live on tour.
