I couldn't bring it back to the store because the box was already opened and when I tried to report this to city games it game me some kind of response in Romanian or something.. FML the developers should all be hung

this game is fantastic when it comes to gameplay. Put it on Hard and enjoy the realism. Stay Hidden until ordered otherwise. The story and character are weak, but the skill it takes to get a kill shot on hard is great "And the moment you get out of cover, you are bound to get hit" Well no shit!? Sniper is not for you then Mr. reviewer. Sniper Elite on the original xbox was better.

u do know they probably couldn't afford better graphics so decided to go wit a better plot yes it seems predicable but its a really good realistic snipping unlike modern warfare or Black ops its "if ur sight is on the person and u shoot u will hit him" so this game is very good game

@TibbilyTib If you have a PS3 also you should of waited, it's being re-released on PS3 in a month. The developers said they have learned by their mistakes and the game will have up-graded visuals, more single player content, more MP modes and a variation with one of the missions at 30 quid. City Interactive are pretty seasoned developers with a catalogue on nearly all platforms inc. I-Phone. They have also signed a licensing deal with Crytec for Cryengine 3, so I'd say "watch this space" :)

It's messed up" and stuff like that, I must say I thought exactly like that in the beginning to, but if you really try your best it's not that hard anymore, you just need some practice, that's all. This game is NOT fun at all, you forgot to mention that apparently the fact that you are a sniper in a gillie suit doesnt seem to matter to AI at all, they can see you ANYWHERE, in a bush sitting still or up high from far away, even when you relocate (as snipers do after each shot) This is THE dumbest game EVER. Fallout has better sniping mechanics even though fallout is not a sniper game

@thugproofclips First of all, pull back on insults, Im far from being a boy. Second, there are hardly any snipers in the game that go against you, Im not really sure if you have played the game at all, since you didnt get what I said at all. I played the game as a true sniper, sneaking in the bushes laying down and waiting in the bush when someone approaches, only to have them SOMEHOW spot me immideately (I know for a fact you cant spot a sniper in a bush when he is still, in real life)
i bought this today, it started off really promising with a good stealth focused mission and it made sense for the AI to punish you if you werent stealthy enough, but then the game starts to throw you into direct combat situations armed with a sniper rifle and the same punishing AI its really frustrating stuff, and you cant switch out your pistol for a machinegun, you have to gamble on wether or not you'll need a sniper rifle later down the line. all in all... not bad 7/10, ive seen worse

Just to clarify, I wasn't upset that the bullet never reached its target despite my aim, I was upset that the game's story was entirely based on a (poorly) scripted event. @mohaliraqi A sniper bullet hits some random random bullet bypassing that kill shot? Not even. What should be clarified is that when the sniper fires, there is an explosion that the bullet, in slo-mo, flies through that *could possibly, but unlikely * moves your bullet. But either way, a sceneiror where you ALWAYS FAIL due to shit Scripting is barbaric.
It was blasted by the shock wave of the explosion, the same one that hit the general and sent him flying. Though a highly improbable scenario it is possible and if you're a gamer you should know that in every single game the improbable is a common occurrence. From last second catches of ledges to falling from a helicopter and just happening to hit the only soft structure in a 3 mile radius. That said...this scene is the only half way decent thing in the entire game hahaha.
You know, explosions usually do affect bullets, so it kinda makes sense that you missed at the beginning. However, I agree on the animations, textures, foliage, and story, but the game is pretty fun however. Stop bitching about how it's not your favorite COD or MW or whatever

Yeah, it's REALLY buggy. When I prone and climb up a rock, my camera was in the rock and I was the ground under it. Weapon can noclip walls and floor. Ghost Warrior SUCKS.
i bought sniper elite last year FOR 40 BUCKS. they said it was a rare game. i literally thought the graphics was a joke. EXACT same thing for COD 5 on the wii. I was like when are they gonna whip out the amazing graphics(not that it would happen because its a wii). sniper elite had an excuse because of when it came out. cod doesnt.

why would "An elite sniper in a highly trained special ops unit" have a resting heart rate of 80bpm, my real life heart rate is mid 50s.

u do know they probably couldn't afford better graphics so decided to go wit a better plot yes it seems predicable but its a really good realistic snipping unlike modern warfare or Black ops its "if ur sight is on the person and u shoot u will hit him" so this game is very good game

@TibbilyTib If you have a PS3 also you should of waited, it's being re-released on PS3 in a month. The developers said they have learned by their mistakes and the game will have up-graded visuals, more single player content, more MP modes and a variation with one of the missions at 30 quid. City Interactive are pretty seasoned developers with a catalogue on nearly all platforms inc. I-Phone. They have also signed a licensing deal with Crytec for Cryengine 3, so I'd say "watch this space" :)

To all you guys going on about "It's to hard! It's messed up" and stuff like that, I must say I thought exactly like that in the beginning to, but if you really try your best it's not that hard anymore, you just need some practice, that's all. It's not supposed to be easy, if it was, then it wouldn't be a good game.

This game is NOT fun at all, you forgot to mention that apparently the fact that you are a sniper in a gillie suit doesnt seem to matter to AI at all, they can see you ANYWHERE, in a bush sitting still or up high from far away, even when you relocate (as snipers do after each shot) This is THE dumbest game EVER. Fallout has better sniping mechanics even though fallout is not a sniper game

@samuils I just bought this game, and well, I was thinking EXACTLY like you were when I played it the first time, but after a while, I tried to be as "stealthy" as I could, and with some practice this game will get really easy, so my advice to ; Ehm, how do I put this.. "Stay sharp" ;)

@Skravlinga I dont like it, not because its difficult, as the matter of fact its fairly simple. I just dont like playing a game which is advertised to be of a certain dynamic, proven to be anything other but its original promise. I chose this game to play as a sniper, however when sniper mechanics hardly matter, it becomes nothing but just another first person shooter.

@thugproofclips First of all, pull back on insults, Im far from being a boy. Second, there are hardly any snipers in the game that go against you, Im not really sure if you have played the game at all, since you didnt get what I said at all. I played the game as a true sniper, sneaking in the bushes laying down and waiting in the bush when someone approaches, only to have them SOMEHOW spot me immideately (I know for a fact you cant spot a sniper in a bush when he is still, in real life)

i bought this today, it started off really promising with a good stealth focused mission and it made sense for the AI to punish you if you werent stealthy enough, but then the game starts to throw you into direct combat situations armed with a sniper rifle and the same punishing AI its really frustrating stuff, and you cant switch out your pistol for a machinegun, you have to gamble on wether or not you'll need a sniper rifle later down the line. all in all... not bad 7/10, ive seen worse

this game is NOT call of duty the game is called SNIPER the whole point is to evade direct contact with the enemy not pick up an assault rifle and run in people who get so into call of duty dont realize that COD is NOT the standard if anything its more different than other shooters just cuz its a fps doesnt mean its the same kind of gameplay so lets stop tryin to compare COD with other shooters

@mohaliraqi That's actually really interesting, thanks for clearing it up--no one seemed to see that. I certainly didn't. Just to clarify, I wasn't upset that the bullet never reached its target despite my aim, I was upset that the game's story was entirely based on a (poorly) scripted event. I should have made that clearer in the review. Thanks again.

@mohaliraqi A sniper bullet hits some random random bullet bypassing that kill shot? Not even. What should be clarified is that when the sniper fires, there is an explosion that the bullet, in slo-mo, flies through that *could possibly, but unlikely * moves your bullet. But either way, a sceneiror where you ALWAYS FAIL due to shit Scripting is barbaric.

It was blasted by the shock wave of the explosion, the same one that hit the general and sent him flying. Though a highly improbable scenario it is possible and if you're a gamer you should know that in every single game the improbable is a common occurrence. From last second catches of ledges to falling from a helicopter and just happening to hit the only soft structure in a 3 mile radius. That said...this scene is the only half way decent thing in the entire game hahaha.

You know, explosions usually do affect bullets, so it kinda makes sense that you missed at the beginning. However, I agree on the animations, textures, foliage, and story, but the game is pretty fun however. Stop bitching about how it's not your favorite COD or MW or whatever

I first saw this game I thought great, but it doesn't seem to be so stealthy and Multiplayer would have been nice.
I think that this could be a great game but need to be with a company that actually tires. I'd have to say over the past 2 year 2K has done alot, with great or better relusts than the origionals.
Plus it needs a better storyline.

Yeah, it's REALLY buggy. When I prone and climb up a rock, my camera was in the rock and I was the ground under it. Weapon can noclip walls and floor. Ghost Warrior SUCKS.
