i have the same problem, and no one get the solution.

i flashback with ODIN to a stock kernel and when bootup it was sim locket (it was unlocked before flashing).

i try the unlock APK and give me the ffffffff code.

and the "generate unlock windows" software give me some 0 and 1 (5 in total)

@FranzCabr3ra install Kiesmini on your laptop. First Google Samsung Captivate upgrade that should guide you.

i overclock at 1.2-1.3 ghz (stable) using tegrak overclock and i use the oclf running 2.2 on my captivate armani i get 2800 on quadrant :) waiting for the 2.3 update (if there is one for my phone i9010) to take it up to over 3000!!

@JDHGaming does overclock affect battery life if you keep the same volatage levels?

@Brentett tegrak has built in voltage levels for certain cpu speeds so if you want to overclock you will need to up your voltage (use tegrak presets ;)) tbh though if you've got a captivate go on xda and get to installling a custom rom..... speed advantages and battery fixes galore are included... nut do some reading before you start.. if your a rooter custom roms are awsome............... for real.. unfortunatly the armani has no roms but ive now got a dhd that i run some awsome roms on ;)..

I had oclf on my captivate 2.1 and would score right around 2000 on the quadrant. i updated my phone to 2.2 through kies mini, rooted using super one click, then installed oclf again but my score now tops out at around1600-1700. What gives?

EVERYONE!!! Froyo had nothing to do with that score. In fact, froyo does very little for quadrant scores on humingbird. One click Lag Fix is what really improves the score. Although, froyo makes the phone much smoother. It just doesn't show on quadrant.

I'm running 2.1 Update1 with the 2.6 Linux Kernel and my scores hit 2200 with lagfix & one Click Root.

I dont know why all of you are getting lower numbers.

1. epic 4g because of 4g

2. captivate because best design

3.vibrant because best qualty

4. facinate because verizon blocks too many stuff

Android 2.2.1 was released for galaxy s. It's so fast, don't need any lag fixes.

My desire hd average is 1960-2000 on the free version of quadrant.. no mods.. only usb debugging on.. and no reboot or task killer.. with debugging off my average was 1850..

@d1ne5h - Well, if you just want the speed, you can install the Ryans's OCLF app and you will also get great speeds even on the Galaxy S running android 2.1. I had the OCLF on the Galazxy S Captivate with 2.1 and I think I hit about 1800 or 1900, so... it is a very good app. But I just love all the other new features of the 2.2 android.

Also, I am pretty sure that you can find the new 2.2 for the Galaxy S form the UK. There are a few version of the 2.2 out there,

Hoping to stick to an official rom...I dont wanna lose my warranty, in the Uk we are arn't allowed any lagfixes ... we havent got the software warranty loophole yet. Thanks for the info anyhow.
