Gravel voted for Root at the LP because as part of the LP rules if the candidates didnt advance to the next round they had to give their delegates to one of the remaining candidates. The biggest problem with third party is that their still too small to make headway, though this election will churn out the highest voters for the third party, what needs to happen is a coalition of "the other parties". I'm sure between all the other misc* (i.e. green, commies, constitution) parties we can muster a challenge to break the two party cycle.

He has had an extensive background in several areas and also grew up in Malaysia, Pakistan, Panama, and finally Tehran, Iran where he graduated from Community High School in 1966.
