  • Addition: Me and my university choir just performed Rachmanninov's All Night Vigil in old slavonic and that must have sounded terrible to the ears of native speakers (russian) but it was one of the most touching and wonderful works of music I've ever heard and will ever hear.

  • I'm german and I consider criticism of the pronunciation very unfair and unnecessary! The german Umlaute ä,ö,ü can't be pronounced by many people and in my opinion they gave their best - the passion is there. many people (also the majority of germans)can't even pronounce a proper th. The soloists did pretty well - that deserves respect!!It's a great work and I'm happy to hear it performed throughout the world.
