the difference between 2 stroke and 4 stroke is the gas mix and speed i ride a cr 125 2 stroke and it will kill a a 250 4 stroke or it would tie but them fother fuckkers are fastt

@honda12515 ive ridden both, a kx125 and a kx250f, i would much rather be on the 250f, the 4t is so much better off the bottom, torque like a tractor, i once was a 2t supporter and would never touch a 4t, but as soon as i rode one, i would never go back! at least when racing 4strokes are much better for racing, if youre going to just have fun, the i would never get a 4t they are boring, 2t are the funnest!! i love both!

@honda12515 The diference between a 2 and 4 stroke is not the speed. It is the power. A four stroke has more tourqe power in the higher gears where the 2 stroke has more low gear tourqe. True that there is a little bit of a speed difference but if you trail ride you would want a 4-stroke

four strokes are easier to ride but they cost a bunch to get repaired and need to be repair often (adjusting the valves which sounds easy to do but isnt) two strokes are a little harder to ride (shifting more often) but a whole topend rebuild is only about $150 and you can most likely do it yourself, personally i also like riding my 125 2 stroke more than my 250f, just because the 125 is more fun to ride. but thats just me

2 strokes require more skill but are much easier to work on and fix if you blow it up and 2 strokes are faster

Where are you getting your info from? Two strokes are not faster. They feel quicker, but the 250 four strokes(which are in the 125 class) are faster around a track, if the rider knows how to rid e a four stroke.

the only thing wrong with that is that 4 strokes are much easier to ride and to hone your skills on than the 2 strokes and for the record the ama has done away with the whole mx lites thing in the amatuer level now there is a 250cc class regardless of motor type

well the bad thing about the 2 stroke is that the only people making them now is suzuki and KTM. But id still get a 2stroke anyday. But i havent rode a new 4 stroke so. But easy to keep a 2 stroke going
