Hardcore Punk is hardcore Music. Post Hardcore is the bastardization taking influences from everywhere. Deathcore bands pick up on Pig squeals, which may be considered "Core" vocals to some.

Napalm Death being a Grindcore band and having heavier vocals is influenced from Death Metal. They were first a punk band.

Personally, I find it's the music entirely that makes Death Angel unique. It's general more melodic, with a lot of groove in it rhythmically. The vocals stand out in their own way, but I still find them rather typical of thrash. Though I must admit I'm growing a little bored with them, the latest album has some fantastic tracks but the overall bulk of it just feels very lackluster to me; and I can definitely see why/how some people 'hate' Death Angel.
