First of all, let me say that I enjoy fanfilms, and all the hard work that goes into them. Of course, I am a bit biased as my preferred fanfilm viewing is of the Star Wars variety.

I had high hopes that this would be a good fanfilm. I found it lacking. Some things that detracted from this film, in my humble opinion, were; bad dialogue, uniforms that didn't fit properly, a long and drawn out plot - it was too long, and too much in the way of redundancy.

I also found it difficult to believe that it captured the essence of Trek. Starship captains just don't behave this way. Not to mention that a lot of the plot looked like it was a direct rip of Voyager episode plots. There really wasn't anything that set this apart from anything any respectable Trek fan has seen before.

I'm sorry to be so critical. I applaud the efforts, its just that this film didn't do anything for me.

Good luck in future endeavors, though.

At 11:39 the Captain says take the power from decks 6 and 7, the other guys like what abou the people, the captain "oh them, relocate them to 5 and 6" drain power from 6 then relocate to 6? The Captain is unfit. What's wrong with decks 4 and 5? And at 1 hour in the guy's got a band-aid on his forehead, I didn't know they still used those in the future, I know what's a good long term investment now...

intro was tooooooo long.  Encarta is an encyclopedia no ? amazing back grounds though. didnt care for cracked bulkheads. looks too fake. nice lighting and weapons fx. acting of course but a lot of credit to you.

No... They lost contact with Starfleet for 3 years as stated in the story line. Unfortunately we had a 0 budget and were unable to re-produce the FC/NEM style uniforms seen in the 2385 era (or worn by Picard at the end of the film). We simply reused the costumes from Star Trek Encarta: The Motion picture which was set further back in the TNG era. Thats your real world explanation... Maybe you can produce the Star Trek explanation?
