@0x777 Ya man, same here. I went to an old traditional fasist school where they forced us to cram latin, greek, french, german and so on. Only later did I come back to french to discover that learning it can actually be fulfilling. I am glad I studied english on my own, by watching cartoon network and playing video games. Otherwise I would have learned to hate it as well. Too bad I did not have a french version of cartoon network when I was growing up.

True Farmer's version is timeless even with its Europop qualities and is the original and best version.

Whilst Ryan's version is not unsympathetic to the ear and also reminded us in the 21st century what a great 20th century recording Désenchantée is!
