This could be about a love/hate relationship a man and woman have. It seems to convey one has the control and the other is weak. The more dominant person seems to be offering some advice to the weaker person. I believe the female (umibilical noose) is in control here.
The music of Nirvana has an energy that projects beyond the mind to the fabric of our very being. Kurt Cobain was a very honest person who connected with a vibe that was much deeper and inspired than just rambunctiousness and grunge. If we can be as honest as Kurt was about seeking truth, we can skip all the ups and downs of pain, rage, and drugs, and go straight to the bliss of being alive.
