  • Lovely video no fighting no eating each other just beautiful music both Greek and Turk enjoying it. To all the idiots who turn even the simplest and sweetest things into a bloody war please please get off this boat it wont sink music has every tiny hole and crack covered with its overpowering trancendance of hope.

  • so nice a song when combined with two languages

  • you will see İzmir just only your dreams.İzmir will be TURKISH till the end of life

  • And YES!!! Papadopoulos has right: she's a very rare, beautiful flower. Ah, if I'd be a bee...

  • Fide is a beautiful woman. She sings and dances just wonderfull. I LOVE HER!!! Million kisses flying out to her.

  • μπράβο.love from Turkey

  • Beautiful, but somehow saddening video. From my neutral point of view, it seems quite sad to see how all guests leave the Turkish singer alone during her charming performance, and all those circumspect faces. If you can't even enjoy together your common cultural heritage, I see little chances of understanding for the future.

  • I love Greek people! Turkish & Greek friendship forever!

  • U GREEKS ARE FIGHTING WITH EVERYBODY EVEN WITH YOURSELFS

  • fck greek - turkish bullshit. Half of the greek people cant pay rent anymore and spiros papadopoulos earns 50.000 euros a month from OUR taxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just to eat and drink provocatively at these difficult moments. A so called left wing supporter really cares about his people......... DISCRASE!!!!!!!!

  • @Kalimeraba sikerim seni!!WE NEVER FORGET!!!

  • Fide hanim, vize kurallarini coktan asmis'ta bizim haberimiz yok....

  • Agreed that heritage and music is shared. Having said that, 40 years of occupied Cyprus is pretty hard to swallow. I wasn't there personally but I have many relatives who were and lost their ancestral lands. It is still a bitter pill to swallow and nobody cares because Cyprus does not have OIL.

  • @MEDSEC20

My friend, Cyprus has natural gas offshore in the Med Sea.

It is only time before it is placed on production.

  • @JimmyTheGreek2000 Yes, I know....but it has come a bit too late for those of us who used to call the North our home.

  • fide is my new love

  • It's always time for peace. Make a friend of your enemies, they will restore you. All those jerks who talk crap about it here on YouTube!!! You never matured emotionally past the age of 10.

Fide is gorgeous and so talented. She's spreading good will with every note she sings (and every little tsifteteli wiggle of those hips....mmm hmmm).

  • Music is universal in my opinion. Thus it doesn't belong to any one nation. Instead of focusing on differences we should focus on similarities like these tunes :)

  • Wonderful!!!

History is nothing to deal with, Its what we are told to..

Make your own ideas and feelings not what you have been told to..

    No need to vendettas..

We are closer each other than any other nations.

I personally admire Greece and The Greeks!!

  • my thoughts is how i get MY country back !!! i also thing of revange all the good things we had from turks, like beheading, devsirmeh, rape, dhimmi !!! the jews had only 10 years problems with the germans but there is no way of friendship and we sufer more then 400years our territoriestor are gone and some people speak about being friend's !!! insalah the day will come

  • She is so beautiful and I love her but the Turkish language singing is so ugly.

  • Kuwait's right! Love of Greece

  • turkish, greeks,,,all a bit mixed up and torn by old decisions of powerfull men. Let us enjoy art and beauty

  • @guidodeb

    :)))Thats it!!!

  • The first song Tha Spaso Koupes was recorded in Turkish in 1910 in Istanbul as "Ciftetelli Kantosu - Saclar Perisham" (odeon 54726) sung by Karagac Efendi; and the second song, Cakici or Izmirin Kavaklari, was recorded in New York by the Anatolian Greek, Achilleas Poulos, sung in Turkish, around 1926. Shared and overlapping musics is one of the great and positive legacies of the Ottoman Empire

  • The 2nd song is Tsakidzis w-Turkish lyrics

  • Please just leave this hate and politic comments its so ridicilous.I agree with you EIDesmadreGriego.Let the past be,get over it. This is music and its very nice to see how similiar both cultures are. Both turkish and greek music are very nice

  • PLEASE lets try to have a Greek-Turkish video without an internet war! Just this once, its not football or politics PLZPLZPLZ

  • I totally agree with you.Friendship and good intention is the point. But you see there are people living by just hating. We can;t change them.Just ignore them and keep smiling and having open hearts

  • @ElDesmadreGriego I agree with you, we should request from You Tube one more option (reply, up, down and flag) the final one IDIOT. Three IDIOT flags and you are band from making any king of comments.

  • @ElDesmadreGriego

More than that, my opiniion is that even in football, and politics should exist a conciliation - the fair play. The idea of keeeping culture clean from any wars and fights is a bless for all.

  • Couple nice songs sang in Greek and Turkish with beautiful melodic voices from both sides of the Aegean.. Great job!!

Fide is amazing!!!She also sings in Greek and speaks excelent Greek.

@xrontzik Den ymnoume to onoma tis Fide aplos leme oti eine mia para poli kali tragoudistria. To gegonos to na pai stin Ellada kai na arxisi mia stadiodromia sto tragoudi kai na eine kapos epitiximeni afto mono tis axizoun syxaritiria. Extos autou ene kai kalo Koritsaki.

  • @pantheon56

All those who make an effort to speak some Greek are treated with respect and get extra services in Greece. Like free Ouzo drinks at restaurants, Why you ask. Because we know how hard it is to learn Greek! Perhaps Greek should be the Global language, but blame it on the Americans for selecting English over Greek by one vote, French was third!

  • demour,

  • SMYREN MUZIK GUZEL AMA VIVA HELLAS

  • Ismir (Turkish) is Smirni/Smran (Greek) which is a Greek name of the same city and the song was written by Greeks from Smirni.

  • Because Smyrni is Greek......

  • what do u mean by greek, i adore greek people but wtf is that? a bit of respect, please. we dont say thesseloniki etc is turkish because once the ottoman empire had it. who has it now? greece. whom does izmir belong to? turkey. case closed. be careful about writing comments, u offend people who are on the otherside.

  • na kai kati kalo apo tin tourkia

    .ΕΧΟΥΜΕ ΤΡΕΛΑΘΕΙ ΤΕΛΕΙΩΣ ΡΕ ΠΑΙΔΙΑ.;;

  • που διάβασες ότι εγώ έγραψα ότι το Θα σπάσω κούπες είναι τουρκικο;

The well known "Smyrneiko" Tha Spaso Koupes heard in this video was recorded in Turkish in Istanbul around 1910 on Odeon 54726. The title was "Ciftetelli Kantosu - Saclar Persham" and the singer was Karagac Efendi.

  • Great show, fun to watch and sing with them.

  • the man with the kanonaki is manos koutsagkelidis.

  • Who is the gentlemen playing the Kanonaki? Does anyone have a video of him singing?

    ~Thanks

  • The first song is sung by Maria Soultatou (not Soldatou). It is entitled Tha spaso koupes.

For more of her videos, type "Soultatou" and/or "Thria" in the search bar.

The second song is sung by Fide Koksal.

So, a correction of the vid title is in order.

  • Comment removed

  • And a correction. You descried the song Tsaktzis or Çakıcı as a Greek song..It's a Turkish-Greek common song. And me as a person from the city of izmir, greetings to all people who accept themselves as smyrniote.
