OK, let me explain it for you. Chen Pu is the first generation in Chen family and Chen Wing ting is 9th generation in Chen family but he created Taichi. So he is 9th generation in Chen family and 1st generation in Chen style Taichi. For master Chen Xiaowang, he is 19th in chen family and 11th in taichi. For Master Shi Yi, he is 12th in Taichi. Wow that's confusing. Just out of curiosity how do the other succesors of the lineage factor in, say for insatnce Wang Xian. Though he is not direct blood his family married in he is now the head of Chenjiago, the birthplace of taiji so where would his ranking stand?
wang xian is a wang, which makes him inferior to the chen masters whos names are chen, if your name is not chen you are invalid as a taichi master and obviously where not taught the correct secrets to make you a true master.
So Wangxian is a pretend master, who will never be as skilled or authentic as chen xiaowang.

The zhu's were a very culturally rich people who were opressed by a number of parties throguhout history, the worst of which occuring in WWII. Though the zhu's are often looked at as the rich ring leaders of the world, in reality they are very kind, and devoted people with excellent taiji and accounting skills.
