when i was a child i watched this movie but i knew this movie's name as "The Children of Captain Grant" ... could anybody tell me..are they related.I know jules verne wrote but ... maybe in my country they named this movie wrong. are the stories related?

@renadalt I checked wikipedia. The movie is based on the book In Search of the Castaways, which was also called The Children of Captain Grant. So it's basically the same story with a different title.

Wow. Loved seeing this in the theater when I was a kid. Chevalier was one of the greats. He started his nightclub career in Paris in 1901 around the time Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec died, and was part of that amazing Moulin Rouge world that thrived into the early 20th century. I remember vividly the scene where they were sledding down an icy path on giant chunks of ice. I wanted to to be Michael Anderson Jr.!
