Some but not all of Islam requires violence. However, both should try to get along.

You should have said "god" in singular. Christians, muslims and jews all believe in the same god, but only disagree on what that god has said and done.

Third attempt to post: Blakes original poem is about how England was destroyed by the industrial revolution and no paradise can be built there. There is also references to the myth that Jesus came to England and created Jerusalem there. But it is also discusses the idea of creating a Utopia / paradise in your own country
I did, thanks. There seems to be a whole fictional mythology based on allegory and symbolism. It is hard to know exactly waht he means unless you've been taught that. His paintings are full of freemassonic references (especially this Urizen character) and symbols but they say he was not a fremason himself but had close friends who were.

In my opinion, Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding of Bruce, were better than The Factor and Virtual XI of Maiden. I think that at those times, Maiden weren't in a good fit. And Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding were just what was the best in Maiden's greatest years in the past, in time of such albums like: Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son of The Seventh Son.
Personally I think The Chemical Wedding is probably better than anything Bruce has done with Maiden - its such a complete album, the mood and atmosphere it creates, especially through the artwork and spoken word passages, and it (mostly) revolves round a central theme (William Blake), and the reprise of the Chemical Wedding chorus at the end. Thoughts?
Not sure about album vs album but overall I think that Maiden have the edge because they have a lot more outstanding tracks. Like my top 20 favorite Maiden tracks Vs my top 20 favorite Bruce solo tracks, Maiden easily win for me. I know Maiden have a bigger selection of songs to choose from than Bruce solo but still ... Maiden edge it in my book.
One thing I will say though that I could not fit into previous comment. Bruce's Scream For Me Brazil beats all of Maidens live albums for me. I'm not sure why I love it so much but the air raid opening, the Brazil fans, the setlist, the sound / production ... just amazing. Beast Over Hammersmith, Maiden England, Live After Death, Rock In Rio etc - all amazing but none of them beat Scream For Me Brazil (my humble opinion).

You should have said "god" in singular. Christians, muslims and jews all believe in the same god, but only disagree on what that god has said and done.
"God", "Allah" and "Yahwe" are just different names of the same god in different languages, the first is in english, the second is in arabaic and the last one is in hebrew.

Could you elaborate, because the following suggests that all three groups believe in the same god:
- Muslims regard Jesus as a prophet of God, and Christians regard Jesus as the son of God.
- Much of the content of the quran is taken from jewish and christian texts, like stories, commandments, people (and angels) and places of importance for example.
- The prophet Mohammed said that jews, christians and muslims were all "peoples of the book".

Allah was the name for an old Babylonian God and that god had a crescent moon as his symbol.
We could argue all day about the rights and wrongs of the big three religions but Islam is the biggest fruitloop in the bunch over the last 50yrs.

Christians dont, unless you mean the roman cathoilc church. Bible believing christians are happy to leave it with the rightful owner ;GOD' who gave it to the Jews. We are told in the bible to pray for it, thats all. The crusades were roman catholic not christian in the true sense of the word mate.

First, you have to separate so called "Christians" ala crusaders from those who follow the Christ of the Bible. And I was answering a comment that stated some assumptions that are very easily cleared up with a study of the Bible. You have the right to believe in whatever you want, and it is good that you believe in something (most people don't) but you cannot make misrepresentations about a subject that I have knowledge of without me respectfully clearing it up. Thats probably whats the song is all about to, more or less, maby about the crusaders whio were sent out to kill in gods name and reclaim the holy city, they succeded and held the city for many years before the turks came. (may be some errors in my historical view)

When William Blake wrote his original poem, he was writing about an historical event; if anyone's interested in reading more about it, check out the Eternal Idol site and the book, "The Missing Years of Jesus", which incidentally mentions this song by Bruce.

Third attempt to post: Blakes original poem is about how England was destroyed by the industrial revolution and no paradise can be built there. There is also references to the myth that Jesus came to England and created Jerusalem there. But it is also discusses the idea of creating a Utopia / paradise in your own country

I did, thanks. There seems to be a whole fictional mythology based on allegory and symbolism. It is hard to know exactly waht he means unless you've been taught that. His paintings are full of freemassonic references (especially this Urizen character) and symbols but they say he was not a fremason himself but had close friends who were.

In my opinion, Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding of Bruce, were better than The Factor and Virtual XI of Maiden. I think that at those times, Maiden weren't in a good fit. And Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding were just what was the best in Maiden's greatest years in the past, in time of such albums like: Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, Seventh Son of The Seventh Son.

Personally I think The Chemical Wedding is probably better than anything Bruce has done with Maiden - its such a complete album, the mood and atmosphere it creates, especially through the artwork and spoken word passages, and it (mostly) revolves round a central theme (William Blake), and the reprise of the Chemical Wedding chorus at the end. Thoughts?

Not sure about album vs album but overall I think that Maiden have the edge because they have a lot more outstanding tracks. Like my top 20 favorite Maiden tracks Vs my top 20 favorite Bruce solo tracks, Maiden easily win for me. I know Maiden have a bigger selection of songs to choose from than Bruce solo but still ... Maiden edge it in my book.

One thing I will say though that I could not fit into previous comment. Bruce's Scream For Me Brazil beats all of Maidens live albums for me. I'm not sure why I love it so much but the air raid opening, the Brazil fans, the setlist, the sound / production ... just amazing. Beast Over Hammersmith, Maiden England, Live After Death, Rock In Rio etc - all amazing but none of them beat Scream For Me Brazil (my humble opinion).
