BBC2 in UK ran a series named " One man and his campervan" It was a guy traveling all around the UK and cooking local produce in his 1970s VW campervan, it was fantastic, hope you can access it in the USA on Iplayer.

I come from Sweden and here almost all of the few Westfalias for sale are worn out with high milage. Prices range from about 4,500$

I would rather rebuild a modern minivan to a camper or wait until the MB Viano Marco Polo becomes affordable, because no more Westfalias are manufactured anymore right ?

@herbienbrian2 ~Mine was listed improperly on eBay, as a VW Camper, not a diesel or westfalia. Nobody was bidding on it because it was hard to search for on there. $4300.00 won it, and it needed some work after sitting in a Utah barn 7yrs.

Great video...BUT......the fry pan has teflon non stick...highly toxic and banned in many european countries.Use a stainless steel fry-pan and coconut oil to cook with as it remains stable under heat. Love your westfalia vw.

He imported his 1988 911 Coupe from Germany and keeps it garaged in Oakville Ontario. It's a beautiful machine, in gun metal grey with tan interior. It's like brand new.

@BumperTapper2 ~This vehicle has 48hp, so weight is kept at a minimum. Hopefully my buddy will allow me to video his 1.9TD with the solar/2 battery unit. He has a diesel westfalia also.

Ever think of getting a metal detector you have the perfect machine for it. You have peace that is wonderful they say life's a bitch then you marry one and I did. She wakes up grumpy many mornings it makes you want to bury yourself so no one can find you and you can't hear them bitch. I was thinking someplace deep in the woods with a water fall nice herb garden providing lots of quality music enhancing medicine. Fish to eat cook them in banna leaves.
