The only problem I've ever had in Barrio Logan was when homeless people would be in swarms in the park smoking and drinking. They would ask me to give them things (like my watch or money). Gangsters in Logan never bothered me. I'd wait for the bus in Logan at night and nothing ever happened.
I love this Video. I try to go to Chicano Park almost every month. The Sea Food place at the Farmers market is BOMB they have the best ceviche!!! The pizza market across the street from Chicano Park is GOOD too. When you visit Chicano Park it is a must to eat tacos and drink Horchata while you watch the kids play. That is the only place i can say I feel EQUAL to everyone else.

uh, cars have nothing to do with how safe it is. it's a great place to be if youre a minority. most white folk are too scared to even come near. I'm white, but i was born and raised in Shelltown, so I'm an honorary Mexican so-to-speak. Don't talk bad about the place unless youve been there.

Asthma, Cancer, chronic disease, etc..I was raised there and we deserve better and should not settle with a park under a highway only. It should only be used as a symbol of progress not a "Oh great park because in reality its not"
