I remember the jingle went...."Secret Sam..Where? Where?....Secret Sam...Here! Here!"
Loved that toy! It was the neighborhood hit...everyone wanted to play with it's parts. I captured some great hidden pictures with it! Maybe that's why I can't put my camera down to this day.
This was one of my favorite toys as a kid. I can remember picking off cowboys and indians set up across the across the room while watching f-troop on our floor model RCA tv. looking back, i guess it's kind of anachronistic (in a Harry Turtledove "Guns of the South" sort of way) to shoot cowboys and indians with a "high tech super spy" sniper rifle - but hey, we used our imaginations....
Why don't they make stuff like that now?!? The only spy toys around are from spy gear and 70% of those suck and the other 30% are really expensive... Grrr, wish I could go back in time
MAN , i had one of those, my Dad took it away from me when he caught me shooting the dog with the plastic bullets... The periscope was super cool on it ... Topper made the coolest toys. They also made the Six Finger...
When boys toys were cool. Note: no "orange tips" on the little boys plastic toy guns! I can remember this Secret Sam like it were yesterday. Get - Smart all the way! 1965.
