  • Ah that remind me when I was living in Chad. Theses types of split A/C are everywhere in Chad and we had 7 of them at the house I was staying in N'Djamena. This particuliar one reminds me of the 1990s Zenithair we had at my school over there. The shape is the same. The ones at my house were Air Well. One got replaced by a Westpoint in 2002. The indoor unit of theses runs so quiet compare to those boxy windows unit things. I wish I had this type of A/C over here, they cool you very nice and quick

  • Jean this airconditioner is powerfull. As I type this it is cooling the house very well.

  • I sure belive you. Like I said we had split A/C at my house in N'Djamena back in 2001-2002 where its usually 40*C and we had the remote set on 22*C and it cooled the house VERY well and QUICK. Love theses type of A/C. Very quiet indoor unit and very smart design to separate the compressor from the indoor unit so you don't get all the loud and annoying buzzing of the compressor inside.

  • Yea that is a positive with split sytems. I do like to hear the compressor in window units though. I don't mind hearing it. I also like the fan blades in the outside units of these split systems. They have the best blade pitch for a modern fan blade.

  • That unit is quiet! Those split systems are beginning to show up here in the States now, the most common are the large central units though.

  • Yea its not to bad.

  • cool. i always try to run the fan for a min after turning the compressor off in all my units. its good to let it cool off a bit.

  • Nice video.

  • Thanks.

  • if only they still made there washeing machines

  • Sorta looks like a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries unit!

Do a vid with the covers off, the compressor type will tell who really made it!

  • Ed it's my Dad's aircondtioner I can't take it apart. It is also under warranty so that is another reason why I can't take it apart. Unless it was mine I would.

  • Bummer :(, the insides are the best bit ;)

I know I've seen that casing design before though, its either Mitsubishi, or some Korean brand, like the ones that make Carrier units.

  • Ed If It was my airconditioner I would have taken it apart without hesitation. I myself would have like to have seen the inside of it. I am tempted to get a fan like that . I would like to have one of those turned into a box fan with a custom square cabinet.
