  • so as you speed up i know your playing them separate but what exactly are you doing ? lol ^_^ i play armonia to mostly guitar or vihuela working on my guitarron chops

  • Thanks for answering my question I know there is an art to playing the guitarron but never knew the notes nor the style. Thanks again.

  • Anyone want to learn this? message me

  • This is awesome. I've been playing electric bass for ten years now and my fingers can't move that fast! :-)

  • It'll probably never happen but I'd LOVE to learn to play some guitarron. :)

Sounded very cool, thanks for posting the video!

  • amazing video, i've been learning for about 1 year, as soon as i played the Guitarron i gave away my acoustic Bass guitar to my cousin

  • I wish I knew where to get a full size quality one in America.

  • are you playing two notes at a time using your thumb and fore finger? It sounds very good I always wanted to learn. what are the notes for each string? Thanks!

  • @Cleatusbodean They're played in octaves, and its tuned from (low)A D G C E (high)A

  • Where do you acquire one of these? I have been playing bass for about a year and a half, and I simply love acoustic folk instruments.

  • is it a prerequisite that you have to be fat to play the guitarron?

  • @paperchasin23

No but it's a prerequisite to be as stupid A.H as you are to put ur comment.

    Gracias.

  • NICE U CAN UPLOAD TUTORIALS?

  • @Moytee9 really/ its not hard to figure out, learn

  • seemed to me like the intro of black diamond

  • hey do you know what key each string is i im trying to tune my guitarron i stoped for a year bec. it broke and i just got it back. or if you caan link a video if you've seen and of tuning one thanks yheah i'll try those warm-ups good job!

  • where did you buy your guitarron?

  • Thanks for the solo warm-up. I am considering an acoustic bass and am looking into the Mariachi Guitarronking also.

  • This sounds great.! So Full! I always wanted to play/study this instrument. Is it true that one plays two strings at once in octaves?

  • most underrated bass i think

  • Awesome!

  • For those of you wanting to know the notes they start off octaved |: La-Re-La-Mi-La-Fa#-La-Sol-La-Fa#-La-Mi-Re :| then its the same sequence again but you only play the low la and the other notes at the highest. the scale not in solfege is |: a-d-a-e-a-f#-a-g-a-f#-a-e-a-d :|

  • Actually it is an f natural that is played in this warm up. This is 1/2 of Natividad Santiago's warm up para ambos manos (both hands) you start VERY slowly then gradually speed up. You want to dedicate about 5-10 minutes to this portion. Then at your top speed take out the A-La so you would be playing: d-e-f-g, d-e-f-g (then reverse) d-g-f-e, d-g-f-e. Keep repeating these two paterns in sequence for up to 5 min or until you make a mistake. Then you are ready to play.

  • thanks ha ha i was going by ear. By the way, do you know where to purchase new tuners for a guitarron?

  • Do you mean a digital musical tuner or the maquinaria (electric bass tuners) for the guitarron itself?

  • the maquinaria. The ones that came with mine are of inferior wormanship

  • You can purchase them at any guitar store. Ask for electric bass machine heads. Or you can go on the web and order them there. I am partial to the Givens brand. In my opinion they are of excellent quality. Good Luck.

  • I like your guitarron. Can you tell me what model number this is and manufacture.

  • My friend just bought one. I've no idea how to play one, can you give me an idea of how to start? Tuning would be a good idea and the relevance of the weird strings. I have several bass guitars and have been playing a long time, I'm sure the approach to playing this is different. thanks

  • WOW your amazing, this is the coolest music in the world

  • greaat

    saludos desde argentina!

  • hola,

gracias por el video. hmm that's about all the spanish i know. i play guitarron in a mariachi band (i'm the only one who no habla espanol). i'm pretty much a beginner (i learned from a book and then i tried watching some videos for beginners but they weren't especially helpful for technique. do you think you could do a video where you sloooow everything way way down. it would help other beginners like me - gracias!

  • dope!

  • DUDE you got to tell me the notes for that !!!!

  • D A E A F A G A F A E A D A....

  • any chance of coming up with more warm ups????

  • Buno pa dediar el gutarron !!

  • what bass is that?

  • Ruben

  • that's a Guitarrón compadre

  • @ulyssessamson It's not a bass. It's called a guitarron.

  • I have yet to hear an acoustic bass guitar that sounds as good as this, amazing full bottom end sound. If this is truly how this guitarron sounds then this is fantastic, i'm assuming their is no pick up just direct into recording mic? Acoustic bass guitars sound so thin in comparison.

  • yea it really sounds good, i love it cuz it has a soft feel and full sound. And no there is no pick up, it just the mic from the cam.

  • sounds siiick!! dang man ur like my online teacher or sum thing. haha.

  • i think its great! has a real good sound

  • sos barbaro al guitarron!!!

  • Gracias por el ejercicio !!

  • yo abalvarez: look on eBay for a guitarron or post a want ad on CraigsList in your city. You might find one cheap and a few lessons included! Gracias por su regalo musical!

  • hey thanks, I will be looking into it! right now I have some money saved up for a nice decent one.

  • Man, i wish i had a guitarron, i would practice it everyday, my school has one, but some idiot cracked the side of it!!!

  • i learned this warmup years ago from randy carillo it is a good warmup
