when you unlock hard rock! mode you get mr.x on multiplayer but if you complete hard rock! mode he is replaced with kahn.

Mr. X is only in Multiplayer when you unlock HARD ROCK!!, and not complete all song in all difficulties.

the only reason the creators add him is because if you ever want to play 4 players, you, well, need four characters, but since you can only play with 3 divas on Hard Rock!! before you unlock Kahn, they added this guy to fill in Kahn's place. Hopefully he returns in EBA2, if there is one.

Nope, that's just for single-cartridge multiplayer. In full, multicart multiplayer, you can play any song on any difficulty level as long as you've played it in single-player.
