Great show but.., You totally lost it. BarBQ in America has its origin in the african slaves in the south. They were given parts and portion of the meat that the master would not eat. i.e. ribs, necks, etc. Often times these would be q'd and eaten with hot spices/sauces. In this review there was not one true pit bar-b-qer.All I saw was white ppl who make a more european oriented fair such as "briskets".

Lynchburg has great, authentic BBQ. Whats not "true" about pork butt? (ribs are there too) Their food IS amazing. Not worth it to bring up political/historical hang-ups into something which should remain pure.
