Hey i am going to buy one and ill probably put a 440 sled engine in it... But i have a question, is it always stoped because motor is too hot ?? Did you put something to cool the motor ??
@oldsleddriver - Nope, just stopped to see where my buds were. Never had an issue with temp. I run them about a jet size too big to help in the summer. In the winter however, it is actually a bit of a trick to get it up to temp because it is fully exposed instead of inside the sled... I run the proper jetting in the winter.
@chasesix24 Um u do know that im really lazy right? Actually that was just after getting back from a trip to the Walden sand dunes... too lazy to swap out the fronts... my knobby fronts were pretty bad anyway so these actually had better traction. lol.
how did you do your clutch I have a 400 in mine and cant get any top end speed with the stock chain case wondering if you did a jack shaft and sproket setup
@oddyextreme Nope, stock snowmobile clutch on the motor and stock driven clutch on the tranny.... run a snowmobile belt. They are wider. Your not getting top speed because your primary is closing all the way and the ody belt is only riding half way up the wider clutch wheel.... either that or your belt is too tight and just wont allow the clutch to close all the way.
i wanna see the suspension you put on it man! does it work good? these things beat the hell out of you. I would like to know how you did the suspension and how much it cost
What kind of mods did you have to do? Just got a couple of them given to me, all in parts, and was thinking of finding a sled motor... what kind of motor mounts did you come up with?
yeah mine (this one) is a full rear suspension. Still stock front suspension (if you can even call it that). I am working on the front end now and hopefully will have something fairly soon.
Lol Sup tenchi. you found this video too? lol this buggy is cool but if you did anything further with the suspension id do seomthing with the front. too little travel on rediculously stiff shocks. Sweet music great quality and i love how the music fades 3 seconds from the ends just in time to hear you shut it off lol
i got the 1977 version. the one at 1:50 looks like it. there alot of fun to drive. im workin on building one that has more suspension (understandable) because they have none.
how fast im looking for one do you think it will beat a honda 350 or 450 quad

this might seem like a dumb question, but how would you add aftermarket fog lights/ off road lights to replace the original light?
