I had this once. I just held down the power button 'till my iPod turned off and turned it back on again. Easy fix.

those stuck in recovery mode, hold your power and home button until you hear the sound of your computer detecting the idevice and let go of the power button to enter DFU MODE. proceed to jailbreaking next.
