I think it's very cool how they keep their show at a personal level. The conversation they were having seemed more like something you would hear if you were able to meet them after the show. To have that effect during the concert is awesome.

Thats very true...I loved their music before I really started to watch these clips and interviews and stuff like that but when I watched those things I started to realise that I loved their music more because I could link it with actual people that I connect with you know? If you know where their coming from it seems even more honest... and thats also a reason I think why people love them, their just honest in what there doing.
IMO fans like T&S's old songs because they have a certain amount of raw, undistorted emotion that only comes from being young and not molded by life.
Generally speaking, if only you could hold on to those ideals through your entire life... In a strange way, you are so much more your true self as an adolescent /young person than in any period of your life.
However, I can understand that now they see some shortcomings on those songs (which I honestly DON'T). And evolution is implacable(sigh)

They say that the beauty is in the eye of the beholder so the "problem" may lay with us fans as well. We just need to let go as well, grow up in a way, the newer songs are amazing, intricate and intense as well. But nostalgia is so hard to resist and the good memories so hard to dismiss.

Tegan doesn't have to regret or be ashamed of the song, but still playing it 10 years after may be hard for her as she doesn't feel the same anymore. IMO UFLO is a best seller in Maple mainly cause it's the only place where you can buy it (not even on Amazon), plus the fact that you can buy all the 5 albums together.
There's not a single video of them playing "Here I Am" live. It's so sad. I love the talking though.
