When Obama took office in January 2009 the economy hemorrhaged 700,000 jobs that month, then 600.000 the next and then another 800,000 the next month all before the Recovery Act was passed! That caused the unemployment rate to spike up over 10%. The Recovery Act helped stop the bleeding but we didn't actually start adding jobs until December of 2009!

Under Reagan economic conditions got considerably worse before they got better as we witnessed a turnaround in1983. The Unemployment rate in January 1981 was 7.5% when Reagan took office and it took almost two years to bottom out at 10.8% in November 1982! It wasn't until 1986 that the unemployment rate got back inside of 6%! The unemployment rate under Obama bottomed out 9 months into his first term at 10.2% which is no where near TWO YEARS! His policies are working slowly but surely as evidence by 11 straight months of growth!

When Obama took office in January 2009 the economy hemorrhaged 700,000 jobs that month, then 600.000 the next and then another 800,000 the next month all before the Recovery Act was passed! That caused the unemployment rate to spike up over 10%. The Recovery Act helped stop the bleeding but we didn't actually start adding jobs until December of 2009!

Under Reagan economic conditions got considerably worse before they got better as we witnessed a turnaround in1983. Obama progress has been steady, but I think will take off here in the next two years with the passage of the bi-patisan second stimulus bill!

@canaryman69 Just an FYI Obama has cut taxes for business 17 times since he took office. The Federal Income tax rates are the lowest they have ever been, lower than Reagan and Clinton. The Bush tax cuts were extended for another two years! The private sector have enjoyed record breaking profits under Obama but it hasn't translated into a hiring boom yet! The private sector loves Obama's policies they just didn't care too much for his political rhetoric. It hurt their little fweelings awwww :(

First we need to do away with the Department of Education. Let the states handle their own education. Gov voucher with each child hands the federal money to each school. easy enough. Just like a lunch card for each child only it would be an education card. They don't go to school..no money no education.

hi obama if you read this i know people who are like 40 years old and they went to high school and collage and all that great stuff but the didnt get anywhere in life and i do see that the schooling system im in right now is realy bad and it makes me sad to see it like this becuz it makes me feel like im gunna have a stablized life in the fuiture my name is marcus nivens i am 1 years old thank you for taking your time to read this.:)

I love what Obama is saying!! He is finally listening to the American people!! I believe, and it seems most people believe that if a person cannot afford a college education, then the government should pay the way!! Not loans, but direct payment for their educations!! It is terrible how we invest HS education in undocumented immigrants, but are unwilling to give them a college education!! America has failed these people by not voting the Dream Act into law!! America wants this law passed!!

That is why a lot of people do not like Obama since he has such high moral expectations which he speaks from a more spiritual sense rather than black and white, from the head! So to speak!
