A concern about Ron Paul being President is that The Hill.com shows that Paul has only (3) three endorsements by members of Congress. One being his son Rand, (Romney has 44). @Lovinight A good honest President is without question a key cornerstone of electability. Both in character, and "cash register" honesty. Who may be right, and who may be wrong person for the job is rather subjective in the decision making process of one's choice. The litmus test for some may be honesty. For others something completely different. Personaly, there is no one tipping point but, a holistic view of a candidate's character, history, performance, and political platform.

Some people take a pragmatic approach, and think that an Independent would take votes away from, in this case, the Republican candidate in the General Election, and hence cause a Democratic win. Ron Paul authored a Bill named: "American Sovereignty Restoration Act". Basically, calling for the U.S. to withdrawl its membership from the United Nations. Yet, in this video he states that waterboarding is against international law. The International Court Of Justice is part of the United Nations. Geneva Convention laws are part of the United Nations. Paul calls for the rejection of these organizations but, uses thier principles to support his arguement. Classic political flip-flop.

If not for him, I would vote for Obama for fear of one of those other Republican butt holes would win. Republicans (with the exception of Ron Paul), are out to take our Social Security and Medicaid! If you are very rich (i.e. in the top 1%), vote Republican. If you are struggling or just plain not filthy rich, make sure the party does not take office.

A concern about Ron Paul being President is that The Hill.com shows that Paul has only (3) three endorsements by members of Congress. One being his son Rand, (Romney has 44). This gives indication of Paul as President inability to pass his agenda since the majority of Republican lawmakers, and of course no Democrats, support him.

Who may be right, and who may be wrong person for the job is rather subjective in the decision making process of one's choice. The litmus test for some may be honesty. For others something completely different. Personaly, there is no one tipping point but, a holistic view of a candidate's character, history, performance, and political platform.

Some people take a pragmatic approach, and think that an Independent would take votes away from, in this case, the Republican candidate in the General Election, and hence cause a Democratic win. In contrast, if there would be no Independent those votes would go to the Republican candidate causing a win. But, I'm probably not writing anything you don't know already. (continued)

However, some non-Christains do not want the courts to hand down a judgement or ruling claimming God is on the courts' side. We The People Act would eliminate higher court remedy to effectively maintain a seperation of Church and State. The Bill was lobbied by conservative Christain coaltions, yet failed at floor considerations.

Ron Paul authored a Bill named: "American Sovereignty Restoration Act". Basically, calling for the U.S. to withdrawl its membership from the United Nations. Yet, in this video he states that waterboarding is against international law. The International Court Of Justice is part of the United Nations. Geneva Convention laws are part of the United Nations. Paul calls for the rejection of these organizations but, uses thier principles to support his arguement. Classic political flip-flop.

Why is it that when I type in "Ron Paul" (a supposed "lower tier" candidate by the mainstream media) in the YouTube search engine I get a large assortment of pro-Ron Paul videos and when you type in the names of all "top tier" canddiates--Romney, Perry, Douche Bag, etc.--you get a bunch of negative videos? After all, wouldn't the front-runners (who are supposedly so because people like them) generate positive responses? Kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it? I'm a liberal, but I love my RP.

I can't stand politicians... but I hate republicans with a passion. With that being said - I would totally vote for Ron Paul.
