Would a rail riser, like UTG's high profile riser or Global's 1" riser, work? You can see through both but the issue would be whether or not it would be high enough to see the sights or too high to get a good sight picture of the sights/target.
Checked out the Tachyon website. They've got some cool feces!
nice. love weapon and head mounted shots. Any problem using them on your Glock? I was a little worried about using our Contour on our G34 due to muzzle blast. . .
it come with a picatinny mount?? is there any video out feature?? would be great with a small monitor kinda like what Wilcox is doin ??? any way to do that type of configuartion??
Not sure about the gopros but most of the 1080p cameras record at 25-30fps when you can get 60fps from 720p. And the gopros are huge. The gopro would be great for a bumper mount for an offroad or even an on road video but they aren't small enough to do this type of recording with.
Can't say I'm realy impressed with the video quality there. Especially at that price point. I just upgraded from a ebay spycam setup that took similar video but in 480p. It looked shakey/glitchy, audio sucked, and color was off. Now I run the now older ContourHD and got a killer deal on it since they just came out with a new model. If you want good quality video for around the same price, I'd look there. I'm not affiliated with Contour in anyway, just like their product
The "Go Pro" HD hero line of cameras. In snowboarding, they mount them to their helmets usually. They have a number of different mounts you can use but I don't know what would work for mounting on a firearm. Their image quality is really good, in my opinion.
That looks pretty good. I'm pretty familiar with HD pro cameras since I snowboard and watch other 'extreme sports', I really like their quality but they're probably too big for your purpose? I'm not too sure.
@GunWebsites you hate the quality or the look? i agree with the look, i have one myself, they are ugly! but the quality is insane! some videos on youtube show that parachutists drops them by accident from 3000 feet, and they keep on filming! the filming aswell is supergood! but yeah, the camera itself is ugly :P
You haz helmet cam. You sir are winning.

One of those mounted on the HD gun could prove to be very beneficial if something were ever unfortunate enough to happen.

@GunWebsites So in other words, the camera would survive depths that you would not. That is good to know.

well the depth of our underwater ops are classified.. but we can't film any of the 'deep stuff' anyway so...

The picture looks pretty good, but the audio is not so good. Your regular camcorder vids look great.

It would be cool to be able to connect the camera to a viewing screen in front of your eye so you can aim the gun that way.
