The good thing is, THES dug deeper into the stats because it's so much higher than those submiitted by the other Philippine universities, and found out the rationale, or lack thereof, behind the inflated stats submitted by DLSU.
Tsk.....tsk.... Cheating is really ingrained in their green blood.

THES is already aware of DLSU's penchant for trying to "win at all costs" and submitting 'deceptive' statistics. DLSU tried it again this year by inflating their number of international students by classifying the Chinese/Chinoy students, who are still unofficially Filipino citizens but permanent residents of the Philippines, as "foreign students." Just in case makalusot.........

It looks like only Ateneo is moving in the right direction. As for DLSU not making it to the Top 500, that's really not surprising given it's a quasi-diploma mill. One can only fake the data so much, then, it becomes very obvious.

According to the recent (2007) thes-qs university ranking, only two universities from the philippines made it to the TOP 500 of the "best" in the world.
#398 - University of the Philippines (99 slots down)
#451 - Ateneo de Manila University (33 places up)
the rest:
#519 - De La Salle University (127 slots down)
#535 - University of Santo Tomas (35 slots down)
