What the... is that...I could not concentrate for a second on the mans voice, Hell I cccaaant ccoonceNtrATe nowww wrriting either. What sadistic
freak decided to run that noise in the background. I will not honor it with the title of music cause it aint. I just had three seizures in a row. Its as insanely galvanizingly agonizingly intense as the guys voice is boorin.
why didn't you have a forklift ready for the shipping container? but neato video showing all the steps. i bet as soon as you finished this you wanted to sell it and try your own from scratch. i imagine the guys who work in factories like Cessna's could DIY one no problems, spending all day with their big squeezy icing bags of epoxy resin
has anyone seen that episode of scrapheap challenge where they build two ultralites? and then some stereotypically insane british pilot shouts tally hoe and flys the things?
Hey, whats a good plane for a first build? Me and my dad are looking into buying one. Where both working into getting our pilot license, and we want our first plane to be a home built one
ITS great to see this vid it is very informative thank you so much I am in the process of getting my PPL & CPL & MEIR & IFR. so you have made me really jelous ; )
Thanks so much I didnt know how the composite was made so that is really intresting!!!!
Fantastic video. I liked the music. I love building airplanes but I don't think I could do a composite. Rag and tube is more my kind of thing. I really appreciate the time you put into both your airplane and the video. It is nice to be able to see what other guys are building. Helps me keep going on my project.
That was very nice. Thanks! Nice video, and great music, I used to play lead trumpet for that piece (it can be played by either violin [in this case] or by trumpet).
So, Ted, the music was bad, what about the rest of the video? By the way, have you ever created a video? I didn't find any on your YouTube page. Don't have the ability?
Yes, the skins are premolded with vinylester. There wasn't any signs of cracks in the skins or superstructure when I sold it last year after 20 years and 1400 hours of flying.
not an obvious connection; communist countries tend not to have home building activity. In Cuba, the Worker's Paradise, you can't even own a boat. Many innovations have come from private parties, like Wittman's landing gear patent (subsequently purchased by Cessna) to SpaceShip One.
The US has a strong tradition of free enterprise/experimentation. Volunteering in EAA is a great way to support those freedoms.
Building a plane is cool! but I wanna learn how to build an Airplane Engine out of hometools!

I agree....great video series, but the music is unbearable for my brain, ecspecially during dialogue and monologue!!!!

PLEASE no more music. It makes it too difficult to hear what you are saying. Other than that, its 5/5 ! Thanks for making. Very well done!!

Video Up loaders to YouTube, for the love God stop with the worthless 'music' over the *useful* audio, such as dialogue and monologue.

It must have been tough to read and understand the plans in order to be able to
know what to do once building the plane. Do you have to be a skilled technician?

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we enjoy to design new aeroplanes?
(2) What do we think about how we fly 50 years later?
(3) Where do we obtain our inspiration of ideas to design and to build new aeroplanes? (eg. birds, ocean animals, forest..etc)
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

I had $80,000 in it when it was completed in 1988. I flew it for 20 years.

Why do so many people add that lame music to their video's on you tube? it's the bane of this site. So irritating.
Glasair III builder.
tedstriker754 2 years ago
It's the 'Flight of the bumble bee" and not so lame really, but I know what you mean. Irritating and unnecessary. Lift music would be better.

how can someone be bothered i get mad and mental building rc plane hahaha
elvedin555 3 years ago
elvedin555,
I can equally ask how can someone have so little attention span that they can't stay focused on something as simple as making your own plane?
I make r/c planes from scratch and the personal freedom to make anything I want, how I want is super rewarding... that's why I "bother"
I feel sorry for people like you... you'll never create or invent anything new, how sad
inqzwuqggrwur 2 years ago
send us some pics of ur planes you built bet they are fucked up and dodgy built fly like shit.

pilotbill9929 3 years ago
Do the plans spec vinylester? Its good stuff and fine for boats, but for a plane I don't think I'd use anything other than epoxy.
