You have to be careful when crossing two roses in your garden-Thanks Lloyd for your note so make sure you don't have any patented varieties. "In your video on rose propagation from 'trimmings' or whatever term you used, you are promoting illegal activity, specifically unauthorized propagation of patented plants. I am a bit sensitive to this issue, since we license many patented cultivars and ALWAYS pay the royalty that is due to the breeder. ".
@YolandaVanveen First of all the fact that the government gave anyone a patent on a plant is wrong to begin with. Just because you think your the first to cross two plants doesn't give you the right to "OWN" that new plant. Because, anyone with the same two parent plants could do the same thing. The decision to allow people to patent things made from nature was a BAD GOVERNING DECISION. I really don't care if your Personal GREED tells you differently .
@ugofky for growing rose cuttings (or stems with some leaves) you have to cut off the flowers. You never leave the flowers, bcos flowers take up a lot of energy plant to grow and bloom, and you want all its growing energy only in the stem, in order for the stem to grow roots.
@cyke90 Cloudy honey has pollen in it- which is nutritious, but also means that her honey hasn't been mixed from several batched- you could probably find out from an expert from what location the bees that made it are from- but probably any honey would do fine.
i took rose cuttings and put them in water , they've been there two weeks now on the window sill and the leaves have start to turn yellow with little black dots on em , is that normal or im i doing something wrong
Very good. Will try that with a cutting from my neighbour's beautifully perfumed pink rose. Hope this works just the same here in the UK!! Thanks for the info.

honey is anti fungal and antibacterial. That is why we can eat bee vomit.

The Honey Idea is very cool. Have you compared the success rate of honey versus store bought rooting compounds.

Does it matter what kind of honey. Yours looks cloudy. Does this method work with other cuttings?
