Seriously though (my mother's side are from Glandore, Cork) I don't think that the Republic of Ireland could cope with the consequences. Irish people are all over the world and are well loved by everyone (including the English)... But if they killed the Queen? Ouch! That'd be a sad day. That's my English perspective :)

The Irish diaspora consists of 100's of millions of people & I doubt very much they'd be 1 bit bothered, quite the oppisite for some of them. Britain is Scotland, England and Wales, although this is geographically. When speaking about Britain as a country, you include Northern Ireland into it all as well.
The UK is Northern Ireland and Great Britain. All countries are equal in the UK, England doesn't ruler over them.
Elizabeth is the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland(full name for the UK).

A few travel...as tourists, and don't learn anything that way. Then there are a few who travel and do something else...mostly because they want to appear different. If you go to the UK, France, Australia, ETC. you will find that most of the people in small towns are CLUELESS about the world. America just has a LOT of smaller places.
