hey man i changed my noiseless fender pickups and put in the seymour duncan quarter pounders and theres a black and white cable and the naked silver cable thats for grounding, where the hell does that go? i got the american deluxe 5 string jazz bass too and im confused theres nowhere to put it on!

I have the same bass, but I'm a bit in a crisis because I can't get the tone that I want. So I have a few questions:

What strings and amp are you using in this video?

@roberzaso miral, el bajo es un fender americano del '95, y las pastillas se las cambie por unas Seymour Duncan y quedo muy bien, saludos

Nice and grooooovy. What can you say on the action of your bass?? is it low/high, fret buzzes etc. and how do you get that sound??

hi, well the B string is ok, but as in all Fender basses B string is not the best on the market... but could be one of the best on the price range!

I thought Deluxe American Jazz basses came with 22 frets and the Standard 20...I'm confused!

Might be a Mexican Deluxe bass. They have 20 frets, and the American Deluxe has a slightly different body shape, but this one seems to have the standard jazz shape. Too bad the headstock isn't visible, since the Mex has 5-inline tuners, while the Am has 4+1. Might be wrong though.

it is a USA deluxe jazz bass, from 95, the tuners come inline, the 4+1 its something that change since 99. Best!

But i just want to be sure since i have an MIM Fender Jazz Bass V Deluxe '03 and i've been making some investigations about the fender jazz basses:

Yeah the first Deluxe jazz bass was made in '95 and they were known as the Jazz Bass Deluxe,.The "American" was added in '98 and the 4+1 came since '99.

But the 20 Frets is something particular for the mexican deluxe 5 string models. And...

Only active. The Jaguar has the option to go passive or active, series or parallel, if that's the kind of think you're looking for.

Hi thanks! The EQ setting is like this: On the bass, Mids are a little cut, like 5%, Bass like 45% boost, treeble 40% boost, Blend like 5% to the bridge position (almost in the midle). In the amp: Hartke 5000 start flat: 8khz+15db, 5khz+12, 500hz+3, 250hz+10, 125hz-5, 64hz+12 also some compresion like 4:1. and new strings!!! best
