  • A recent Stanford study used new technology to discover that there are about 1000 different strains of bacteria in the gut. They said in a study that a mere 2 courses of a common antibiotic could make some of those strains extinct. This strains, they noted , could have been performing critical functions ,like keeping certain pathogens under control. Using simple logic, antibiotics, over time , may have caused far more harm than good in the US where they are massively over-proscribed.

  • Excellent! iIn the us we could reduce crushing health care costs drastically by getting people to improve beneficial bacteria. I became chronically ill due to bring perceived a long course of powerful antibiotics. I wish I had known this information in the past.

  • Very good presentation, 2 years ago I had written master's thesis about bio-yoghurt.

    Greetings from Poland :)

  • Thank you, your presentation was very informative. I've come to learn even more about the benefits of probiotics and why the work. I have used this knowledge to help myself and my loved ones. Good work doctor. I wish more doctors in the US would pay attention to this matter as preventive maintenance rather selling you yet another drug you probably don't need. Best regards.

  • Thanks for the information. I have been suffering from gout attacks. Will this help me? I suffer from some of the other things you mentioned in the video. My latest way to try to get rid of the gout is by drinking a higher ph water. I there any particular brand of probiotics you can recommend? Let me know and thanks again.

  • shall we sleep doc ?

  • The newest thing on the market is external probiotics. FDA Approved, hospital and university tested. They kill the bad bacteria on your skin and other surfaces and leave a coating of good bacteria that will prevent you from picking up all kinds of foreign pathogens that cause staph infections. Educate yourselves. Staph is very scary. debstar.geogenex dot com

  • that's it people, keep buying these products or YOU-WILL-DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE! lol, this doesn't tell you that many people actually feel negative effects, a lot more then 1%. People have survived for our entire history without shoving this crap down our necks. my grandad and grandmother *touch wood* have lived untill their mid 90's without this stuff...... just BS.....

  • @godkingRoss You don't have to buy anything, it's a natural cooking process. If you don't want to eat probiotics, then don't. There's plenty of transfat for you to gobble up. Shew.

  • @jenacious7 yeah, it's naturally made in our guts, so you don't need to buy that shit they show you on tv. that's my point. there is also a lot of crude oil i could gobble up.... i'm not getting your point with this transfat thing.

  • @godkingRoss she was being a smart ass

  • @SimplyCecileP yeah, so was I..... i think.... although It was a long time ago lolz

  • @godkingRoss yep :p.
