  • THAT LOOKS SO REAL !

  • It smells Realflow...

  • Needs more particles. More particles! MORE!

  • Nice...

  • does this or could this simulation work on a large scale ie as a realistic flood simulation? How realistic is the water flow over surfaces?

  • Why does the water turn to semen, then back to water? o-o

  • @MinecraftAndStuff1 It may show how close the particles are to each other. not sure though.

  • Does the lightness just depend on velocity?

  • @fernozzle yeah

  • lol... you'd require supercomputer to have SEA or RIVER full of these particles in a game ... tho i was thinking about this for quit some time now... thats the only way to make water look 100% realistic... no HW tessellated texture of water no fake foam... real deal :D

  • realtime?is it? OMG?

  • Do you have the 3ds files to this, or a tutorial?

  • This is not realtime right?...

  • hey... I just came from your 'trapped in a hotel room' video where you were saying you would not code on a mac... and now I'm buying gflow from the app store. heheh something changed your mind? :~)

  • @MaksimFizik6 + @ARalleProduction this is simulated with my own simulator. no external programs were used.

  • what program?

  • @Frotty33 Seriously, you = failtroll. GTFO my internets.

  • what software do you use ? :D

  • @ARalleProduction dumb fuckin retard.

  • @Frotty33 no, seriusly, i wanna know what softwhere was used to process this simulation video, i think it is pretty cool :)

  • @ARalleProduction look at comments and description?

he wrote the simulator himself and probably rendered it from that.

  • @Frotty33 i know that you fucking dumb fucked retard.....

  • this would be great as a deramscreen :O

  • Orgasm

  • DOWNLOAD?!?!?!?!?!??! :D I WOULD LOVE YOU lol

  • So much impressive man...

  • I hear that water simulations can now run over a million particles with only 1 GPU... in real time!

  • this is pretty cool. :D

  • cool

  • repulsion gel to the max!

  • Wow, very nice fluid simulation...

  • thats prolly the best watersim ive seen on youtube, great job!

  • almost looks real

  • That's a lot of particles to render. You guys are going to have to wait for consoles to have PC specs. Which micro$oft will never do.

  • Heh, you're probably the first guy to get water RIGHT. Now do glass. :D

  • wow thats really cool!

  • Really nice, and it doesn't look like it's in slow motion like other videos.

  • Wow, this is pretty cool, just add reflective textures and submit it to Crytek for Crysis 3. That will about sum up the water portion of what will be the best game ever GUARANTEED. Now, did you actually program the coding for this, or find it as an install/test from a website.

  • @TheOjdidit i programmed this. check out my other videos. i've been researching fluid dynamics for quite a while now.

  • @kotsoft pretty awesome man, now to get this out there, and how much can be implemented into a game without major fps drops.

  • @kotsoft was this recorded in real time or pre-rendered?

  • @kotsoft do you know the specs off your computer

  • that is truely magnificent effecting, great talents!

  • @TheOjdidit Trust me, you would need a crazy ass proccessor to run an ocean of that.

  • @TheOjdidit Most of the time sophisticated particles like this can't be rendered in a Real time game engine so I don't think you'll see this in Crysis 3 :P

  • The iPhone/iPod touch app is really cool!

Do you have this video in HD?

  • Wow ... so cool! Awesome!

  • All this was Generated on an iPhone?

Wow....Think if you put it on a computer...You could fill an Ocean in a game with this physic.

  • @EliteMon1995 no this is generated on the computer, but i have an iphone app that does fluid simulations.

  • There are 3 things in a confined world, which could make water move, force, wind and sun heat, which are a nightmare for a gpu, and programmer alike. The problem isn't that it's hard, but it makes games very high-end, which means less people can play it on their 3 year old pc hardware. Crysis was the first game to really get in peoples face and say;" Fuck you & your shitty 3 years old pc.", which is why a lot of people like it so much. Fuck the majority, that's what Crysis is all about. Thanks!

  • @Ryuuken24 LOL yeah I agree. If it wasn't for games, we would still be using Pentium 3's today XD

Games have been the true driving force behind all this advancement.

  • little slow mo for water but fantastic!

  • Can't wait till there's a game, where you can shoot holes in the hull of a ship, and it will sinks because of digital molecular mass..

And the water will fill in all through that hole you made in the hull, god.

    I cannot wait!

  • Holy shit, you wrote the simulator yourself? Awesome! You deserve more views!

  • Best water simulation I've seen on Youtube.

  • I simulated one of these with my bodily fluid.

  • reminds me of a time I had some bad milk.

  • there should be a screensaver like this

  • Very interesting! doesn't quite look right though, later in the video, I have trouble believeing the wave action would get so high.

  • DantoraMandova

Lol based on that comment, we can easily guess you are a hardcore video games player. =3

  • This water is dynamically wunderbar. I simulate surfaces with an FFT that has been around a long time. It looks great it has the weakness that it cannot break up and splash like this approach. take a look at dartwerks(dot)com programs. I've even got a guy paddling around the water. But it really needs that splashing.

  • the water maybe too light

  • Looks very strange. Haven't seen one of these trying to be used in an approach to a continuum type of problem. How do they handle the age old problems over a range of Re. #? Cylinder/Lid/wedge/Hagen-Poissuele? Perturbation/Instability?

  • GOD, water is soo fucking hard to render. Sometimes at the beach I feel as if life lags.

  • sourcecode?

  • looks more like a slushie imo

  • sexy

  • Comment removed

  • WONDERFUL

  • Any chance you'll let the rest of us play with it? :D

  • Esta genial, no se como puede manejar mas de 300 mil particulas al mismo tiempo! XDDD

  • That's amazing

  • How did you get the emmiter to spin in a circle like that?

  • @D4RK809 i just do something like x=cos(t*something)*radius, y = sin(t*something)*radius

  • Comment removed

  • @kotsoft are you Einstein?

  • @kotsoft you mean x and z, no ? it doesn't go up and down but in one horizontal plane (btw nice, I like it)

  • @D4RK809 for infinite loops you need the mathematical formula

sq. x + sq. y = (size of your circle) (this only works in 2d, but if you want your emitter to rise/fall you will need to use an third one called sq. z, if you want to make it parabolic you will only need sq. x = sq. y, (warning, this will not make it loop, if you want to loop you'll have to add z again. so: sq. x + sq. y = sq. z + (size of your circle)

  • O_O!

  • where can i find this and is there other things too like lava?

  • Program?

  • @Jasandjord626 it's simulated with my own fluid simulator.

  • @kotsoft it should be used in evry game :P

  • @Jasandjord626 dumbass

  • what is the color change supposed to be showing?

  • @nameno1elsehas it's the speed of the particle, from blue(slow) to white (fast).

  • That's quite nice, it looks like there is some subsurface scattering going on there too!

  • @sk8ter43100

that would be cooler then Chuck Norris

  • Looks like semen

  • i wish i had a game with water like that

  • @kotsoft woops sorry, its not the same thing, its a little diffrent lol

  • i need my video card back :(

  • in the begining you could thell it was little particles

  • "experience the joy of fluid simulation yourself"

XD but now i need an iPhone.......

  • is this for i pod touch also?

  • lol it's from water to sperm to blue Monster Energy O_O

  • software.intel.com/en-us/articles/fluid-simulation-for-video-games-part-1/

  • I came across this which may be of interest to you - it's got a lot of infor regarding water sim. That said, the movement looks pretty "liquid" if not quite water - I'd suggest that it's the opaque material you're rendering which is stopping it looking fantastic. In any case, a very good effect :)

  • Beautiful

  • oh shit i need my duck

  • It's good, but not that good, it still has bugs and glitches...

  • That is beast. If a freelancer can write that, there's no reason Realflow is a professional simulator. This is just as good.

  • 303,900 :3

  • GORGEOUS.

what types of interparticle interactions are you assuming here?

  • I read this

    Clavet-2005-PVFS/pvfs.pdf

    and I made a 2D

It's difficult to find the right parameters for Plasticity Elasticity Gravity AirResistence and so on...

    could you suggest me them?

  • @reexre well, anyway, with the parameters, just choose something that is believable and stable enough. the values will all have to be smaller than the real world values to keep things stable and you just want to choose something that's believable.

  • he just used a textered picture and set it to speed

  • The maker is a lier, Its called realflow

  • Nope... you didn't make it... sorry bud... i busted you... but its not a problem, won't give a link to the program... its from 2004...

  • damn

  • i wonder, what game? or what program?

  • @jegerdust it's a fluid simulator i made.

  • ITS POWERADE :D

  • u got it all :)

    haaa!!

  • Oh yeah !!

  • looks like slime but not water dude

  • @7FFE000Commit

probably just need to adjust the transparency

  • :O

    thats so awesome

  • @icantswimj

    its a render, smartass..

  • Yours is blue?.... Dude I'd get that checked out. o.o

  • cant wait for this type of water engine in games

  • Water like this is made of a particle system and later made into a 3D mesh. It's an animation, not a some sort of "water engine".

  • yeah you might be waiting a while. say....

    2075?

  • @oibastard90 Crysis 3

  • pines

  • wow this looks so cool.. xD

    nice job!

  • is this realflow???

  • Great and you have great comp :)!!!!

Btw What is game called if it is game???

  • @SuperBodnar

This took seven hours to record...

  • Lol XD its soo long XD

    But You did it :)

  • What program did you use to make this?

  • wow. wow. much more realistic than blender's water simulation. [at least what i've seen/done with it.

  • Bring up the resolution of the particles then.

  • ffs that never use thees physics in games

  • Darn! It took how long to calculate?

  • Besides the lack of transparency, this is awesome!

I like the foamy net-like way it falls from the water source!

I also like how the water turns white and foamy occasionally!

  • oh... ok... 7 hours... i read from prev. comment..

  • how much rendering hours it took for that animation?

  • actually its 303,300 :-)

  • you counted?

  • if you pause at end you can see "Particles: 303300"

  • didnt notice that xD

    sry

  • sry but that is 303900

  • That's sexy. Why can't game water be like this?

  • because it took 7 hours to render, way easier when Fermi comes out (NVIDIA will rock ATI; They have been until these breaks)

  • because this took seven hours xD

  • @UsernameRogen1978 do you know the GPU power you'd need... D= ?

  • The water splash on the floor at the very beginning looks really realistic

  • cool !

  • that makes me thirsty

  • @Ralph032894 me TOO!

  • @Ralph032894 me too :O

  • all those fluid videos do not look like what the author intends them to look like... everything most of the stuff behaves like molten metal. Do that - you will win a 3d cookie

  • @khiwhiwhaiwhi I wouldn't go that far, but it does look like whole milk up top and skim milk down below -- 3D cookies taste good in 3D milk!

  • @khiwhiwhaiwhi what is it missing exactly ?

  • @khiwhiwhaiwhi

This is not the authors fault, at the moment SPH is limited to low Reynolds-numbers.

  • What program? looks alot like realflow

  • awesome!

  • Lol, looks like granita.

    Google it, it's yummy.

  • very cool, but it looks like it makes waves too easily

  • Imagine if we could have this in future games :O but with like 90 billion...and a bigass pc....VERY badass

  • I dont realy care. But even new games will only use one processer, and only 4 cores. SLi also only supports up to 4 cards, so the other 6 would be useless, and 7TB is kinda stupid when I doubt you would even use 2tb.

  • this is for a pc and when your a cgi artist and you want things rendered quickly... and you'd be suprised... with the amount her downloads constantly and his gaming and films etc and ok fair enough you may not care

  • To render this in realtime, your PC has to be about 750 times faster than the PC this was done at. So I doubt it.

  • yeah it is quite fast i admit i exagerated a lil bit... buh it will be quicker

  • If you have a 1 000 000 horses then none of them as well not they all together will be able to run 5 times faster then the best horse in the world.

  • im sorry i didnt know we were talking bou horses (sarcasm)

    STFU DICKHEAD

  • thats mathematics for morons with rich cgi uncles as well as just morons

  • haha mathematics

soo you mean to say that

if i have one processor? ill go at i dunno 20fps on a particular game...

buh if i have two of the same type... they are not going to be faster... why do you think we have quad core and 16 core processors rather than 1 with 10.28 GHZ

the only moron here is you

    again

    STFU DICKHEAD

  • @KingSkulkZ ... yeah the speed of multiple cores does not equal the sum of each respective core.

    Read a book.

  • OMG i know

does anyone read what im saying

  • uhuh. you started to forget what writing is for?

take 50 cores but you won't go past ddr5 bandwidth. also 99% of the libraries use only one thread. the graphics still will be of the same level. there're isn't 'superior' graphics to those in modern game SDKs not even if you use penis enlargers on them.
