  • SHA LA LA LA LA SHA LA LA LA LAZOBBBIIII

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • such a funny look... but great stuff :)

  • Dude! After all these years I encounter THAT mustachioed face again. Fuck. That drummer wooed me with his envy inducing facial hair when I was just a naive, dirt stached kid of 14. Next thing I know, it's 3 am & I'm face down behind the dumpster of Chiquitos with my cornhole bleeding. Goddamn motherfucker. This song haunts me til this day & my ass lips still have the 'stache burn to prove it. Someone please kill me.

  • wtf with this band ???i think they are gay

    become fearful.

I think they were 'undercover gays' scoping youngin'!

  • so surprised me! cos this song very popular here in South East Asia during 1975 was done by a Hongkong band ' The Wynners' ...

  • @ishani859 they are not a rock band and never will be.. they are a glam rock band which is fucking gay.

  • The 1st time i saw this, i thought you have got to be kidding!LOL. But then i realized, OMG this IS the late 60's/early70's! This IS the world i grew up in, Once you accept it for the time period it came from, you realize it was a wonderful time in music (:

  • @brubakertx Sure, if you like computer music - I think the Vengaboys version is rubbish, but it made Torben Lendager a lot of money, so for that reason they're welcome to do it again.

  • @Tirdfish It's what everyone in the world danced to in the 70s. Made In Denmark.

  • This song sound like Billy Joel's "My Life." What do you think?

  • @rimewizzard Billy Joel "My Life" from 1985... Torben Lendager's The Walker's song "Shalala la la" from 1974...

Seems it's Billy Joel who sounds like Torben Lendager, eh?.

  • @hcvang The Joel song is from 1978. I don't think there's that much of a resemblance honestly.

  • look at those outfits

  • i love how they smile all the time

  • Haha funny

  • jajajajajajajajajajajajajajaajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaajjajajajajajjaajajaajajajjajaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaajajajajajajajjajajajjaajjajajajjaja

  • nice as ever

  • @gordonpihl

I remember the 70s, I remember the hair, but no-one had hair like the lead guitarist (1:01) . It's a combination of long haired hippy and bad combover. Amazing. The song is fairly standard bubble-gum pop of the era (like The Archies, 1910 Fruitgum Company, early stuff by The Sweet) - all good clean fun.

  • ITS TIME TO DISCO!!!!!!

  • lovely song

  • Classic laughin Nice one

  • Thank you for uploading this so that such a thing never disappears from our world! Putting rare things like this on the internet pretty much immortalizes it. ^_^ I appreciate you keeping the past vividly alive for us all!

  • This is awful, this band looked like they wanted to be The Sweet.I bet they wish they had a 'Blockbuster' or 'Ballroom Blitz' to their name instead of this crap!

  • ฟังแล้วคิดถึงเพลงเก่าๆ ตอนเด็กๆครับ ขอบคุณครับที่มี YOUTUBE

  • They are from Maastricht, The Netherlands

  • This brings back so much memories. This song was SOOOOO big in the Philippines.

  • Hallo was ist das für ein lied, was kurz eingespielt wird bevor das lied Sha la la la von Walkers beginnt...?

Hello what is the song for one, is played just before the song starts Sha la la la ... and Walkers?

  • @hanshermann1955 "Striptease", another Walkers single from 1974

  • @tochr

    OH Super......vielen dank....mfg

  • THIS IS SO GAY!

  • THERE FACIAL EXPRESSION LOOKS SO WIERD BACK THEN COMPAIRD TO THESE DAIIZ

  • I like this version better

  • Chest hair was banned in Denmark in 1974.

  • @Nza420 You right bro. The best hairdo ever.

  • love his dancemoves xD

  • @MisterFigge jaja yes xD

  • This is totally amazing.I love much of the vengaboys material and when i heard this track i always wondered if it was a cover. This proves it was a cover.

  • @Nza420

I'd say that he looks more like Brian connelly of the Sweet fame.

  • I never knew about this version of the song, its good but I prefer the vengaboys version

  • how do you get hair to do that?

  • I want to have some their CD , how can I get to buy them from Japan?

  • 1:44-2:13

  • It is just me, or is the verse exactly the same as Billy Joel's "My Life", which came out years later?

  • Do you have any of their albums?

  • I sure do have them all :-)

  • do you have minus 1 of this song ?

  • We didnt know back then that 27 years later, Dutch eurodance group Vengaboys will be covering this song!

  • Even though this is really lame, corny and incredibly homosexual, it's still better than anything on the radio today.

  • Thanks so much for sharing this video: LOL I was in the 8th grade when this song hit the radio stations in my home town, and whats so funny is that I had the same hair style as Torben and pretty much wore the same style of clothes-- God that was a long time ago LOL!! Thanks for the great memories it's fun to go back and remember those times.

  • Sorry to say.....but.....in the early 70' I wantet the same hair as the singer...Torben...in the band. But my dad said >> NO WAY-NOT EVER...not when I'm alive!!!<<

    Thx. dad...

  • Oh yeah the danes had their "The Sweet" band back then! .-)

  • Man, Billy Joel's My Life is a total rip off of this, isn't it?

  • The Walkers are a dutch band, not a danish band!!!

  • @keerdenir Please, they are as Danish as H.C. Anderson!

  • kkk

  • happy birthday Poul

  • The Vengaboys really took this song to the next level, didn't they?

  • mann..were did ya find this!!i used to dance to this in my bedroom.

  • Yikes! Come back Middle of the Road, all is forgiven!

  • Me encanta esta canciónnnn.. pero al mismo tiempo me mata de la risa de ver la vestimenta de esa epoca...jajajaja ayyyy no puedo creerlo..pero eran geniales

  • @gordonpihl more like Bjorn Ulvaeus than Agnetha,

  • I like their hair 8-D

  • lol, I guess you're right.... thank goodness Agnetha was a bit more pleasing to the eye!

  • nice outfit...

  • salalalala salalalala si señorrrrrrrrr!!!!!

  • nice song.....

  • Were they the original ( the ones who created and first sang this song ) , just making sure.

  • Yes! The composer Torben Lendager is the front figure ie. singer -and the guy behind the drums Poul Dehnhardt did the lyrics - a world wide smash HIT!

  • dam thier custom back then is very gay hahahahah but song is #1

  • my heart goes shalalalala

  • sha la la la la i'm gay every day... well good song anyway

  • Great !!!

  • The hairdo and the outfit is just hillarious. But great song anyway.

  • nice upload - love that song

  • i like their style more than Vengaboys

  • this is one of my most favorite song

  • hahahah epic!

  • STORT

  • This song kicks major ass.

I first heard this in Asia around 10 years ago, so I guess that was before the Vengaboyz. At the time, I thought Billy Joel had totally ripped this off.

Thanks to the video poster, I now have my facts straght. Billy Joel ripped this song off, not the other way around.

Someone get me the number to The Walkers' lawyer. :p

  • those crashy danhish catsh, hey.

  • the vocalist looks like joe pesci.only thinner.LOL.good song anyway.

  • They Look Like The Band: Sweet

  • funny but the verse has thhe same tune as Billy Joel's My Life.

  • Yeees! That's what life is all about - inspire each other :-) Torben Lendager and Poul Dehnhardt wrote this "Ever Green" wayback in 1973. Clever guys the are :-) "JUST STAY HAPPY" :-)

  • @callancool I remember Billy Joel was sued for this when My Life became a smash hit, and the case was settled out of court.

  • Lead Singer has Rod Stewart hair and face reminds me of Bjorn Ulvaeus of Abba. Considering I like them both This song rocks.

  • lead singer very bouncy like grasshopper.song is very catchy.I NEVER HEARD OF IT BEFORE TODAY.LIKE IT

  • and the singer is danish and so am i, and i love his music, he made a song called

"vi holder fest" = "we are having a party"

  • it doesnt matter how they dress, the music rocks enyway

"...sha la la la in the morning..."

  • yes you are right but just look how they are dressed

  • Well...that was how We did look in the 70's My young friend:-) Wayback when.....

  • the song its good but the band looks like gays

  • And so what ?

  • I wonder how many times this song have been covered.

  • Me too :-)

  • This song has also been sunged in Norway, at the 70's, by the group Septimus, with Steinar " Cliff Richard" Fjeld on vocals, and was a song about touring Norway

  • ha ha - oh now it was very common in glam rock back then 35 years ago look at groups liek Slade and Sweet. (I think the Guitar player is wearing a gigantic whig to cover the top of his head???)

By the way Walkers were a dansih group. <<<<<<< not treu Netherlands people lived in Ulestraten in Limburg Leo steinbusch whas fammilie from me.

    Michel Steinbusch

  • Wow Billy Joel's song sounds like he ripped it off from this. "I don't care what you say anymore this is my life"

By the way this stuff if horrible, I just ran into it by random searching. This is totally corny and that frontman is just funny looking.

  • that is my uncel (drums)

  • GREAT :-) He is a "fantastic" musician and song writer - seriously!

  • O

    M

    G!

my freinds mom have been lover with him... are u danish?

  • @oliverDehnhardt great uncle

  • Does that mean Billy Joel actually plagiarized (my life)? Or maybe Billy was secretly one of those guys at the time. LOL.

  • Hehe, who knows :-)

  • L.O.L. great imagination, i like it.

  • O.o..strange indeed..the singer..jumps like a monkey..strange dance..O.o..their chests..O.o..now those times where really diffrent from nowadays

  • Outfit is funny but I guess 30 years from now people will say outfit now looks funny

  • holy shit this guy looks so incredible gay

  • Well...that was how We did look in the 70's My young friend:-)

This guy is definitely NOT gay. He's got a nice son and a lovely daughter today.

  • OMFG HIS SHIRT SHOWS HIS CHEST, he must be a homosexual based on that

  • ha ha - oh now it was very common in glam rock back then 35 years ago look at groups liek Slade and Sweet. (I think the Guitar player is wearing a gigantic whig to cover the top of his head???)

By the way Walkers were a dansih group.

  • jaja.. jeg kender (næsten) trommeslageren

  • hvorfra.?

  • min vens mor var kærester med trommeslageren.. xD

  • okay det min fars bror

  • Glad to see that Billy Joel never stole a melody in his life. Can you say "My Life"?

  • heh i was wondering why it sound familiar. hey do you know the song that like "you be my lovely wife, ill be you working man" or something like that?

  • This Song never made it down here in Australia (I WONDER WHY LOL) I know glam rock had it's moments but this takes the cake .Got to be the funniest video i've come acrossed .
