yours is much older and has a golden monkey trait mine is a fader with a red dragon trait bt yours has a bigger kok :( by the way its really like that wen its a fader it turns a bit blackish and then slowly turns into a golden redish kind of colour

What are you feeding the flowerhorn I've had mine for 2 years feeding him bloodworms and cichlid pellets but can't seem to get his KOK (mond on head) to grow.. any suggestions?

Regular cichlid petshop pellets. What i did was pick this one from a batch of small 2" flowerhorn(petshop) which i saw a potential (small kok forming). From there, it grew bigger.

@grecosti that is awesome man! mines in a 30gallon and want to upgrade it so he can actually grow correctly.. i was thinking of feeding him hikari bio pure+ gold pellets.. posed to enhance colors

lights look good but, your priority should definitely be to get a bigger tank. thats just not right.
