  • @michaeld256 i think since this video has 458,866 veiws, you are high

  • Great Song! anyone have any interpretations of the song and or video? i dont see the relationship between the video and the lyrics. its a cool vid though.

  • @bongcouver: childhood ends the moment you relaize you are gonna die. most profound horror ever. This doesn't even happen to most people thanks to... "others". Just hang on to the feelin you could blast through the cieliln... as long as it lasts

  • This video is how I felt that time I ate a lump of solid weed because I ran out of papers... hah.

  • this song makes me cry every time i hear it :(

  • Man...I love this song. Only problem is everytime I hear it I want to drink a bottle of Jameson and forget the rest

  • lol@stanzer7373

  • When I heard this song the first time, I knew Radiohead was for real...

  • This song sound so familiar but yet so strange

  • @Scar098DJ thats because this song is more of a feeling than anything else

  • One of the most hilarious, depressing and nasty things that was ever done to me was when my (drunken) friend played this song loudly in the backround and laughed, while I said bye to my girlfriend before she moved 1700km away! What a jerk!

  • @ClassicalMetal91 oh man low-blow

  • if I'm in the right mood this song can definitely move me to tears

  • i prefer this song over creep

  • @562MaxPower I prefer creep over this song

  • awesome song, i love this band :)

  • wots wrong wid thom's eyes??? nvr gt 2 kno dat.... btw awsome track,,alvys luvd it...:)

  • @kasturihowls he was born with a paralyzed eye.

  • @kasturihowls then he underwent 6 surgeries to correct it, but he claimes the last one was 'botched' leaving him with a drooping eyelid.

also, he moved school several times as a child, bcos other kids made fun of it...

  • @kasturihowls One of them was permanently shut upon birth, he got it surgically opened but I don't think he can see out of it. I think it suits him.

  • @Miguelohara563 i think so too.. :)

  • this might be disturbing, but Thom looks like a little kid with cancer here

  • @farizzal Shut up, you probably dont know how cancer looks like

  • @PoisonedJuice fuck you, my grandma had ovarian cancer, and I have volunteered at the hospital and seen terminally ill kids, so I know what it is and how bad it is.

  • @farizzal The quote wasnt for you, so I don't know why you answered me, you should answer lemans, that made the cancer topic.

  • @PoisonedJuice you were the one who replied to me. You said I don't know what cancer looks like.

  • @farizzal oh yep, I thought you were another user

  • I love this song so much.

  • "Ed Grimley!"-Beavis

  • @jamespat10 thats what im talking about... ha ha none of these kids now a days have ever seen that show....

  • great song!!!!!!!! xox

  • If I could be who you wanted

If I could be who you wanted all the time

  • i was so excited when radiohead came out with the bends. i was sick of all these snot nose grung heads ruling the scene and i was begging for a band that could actually relate to me. sure i was a pissed off teen like everyone else, but grunge just really didnt fill my end of the pie. radiohead take the cake

  • Guaaao

  • this song is so good!

  • "This song is about Canary Wharf..."

  • THE BENDS is one of my fav. albums. i saw them in mass. back in 98-great

  • You are a fake heartless human if you go and call someone ugly or weird just because of how they look . L*** this song a lot!

  • thom stop opening your mouth so much when you sing it makes me yawn all the time

  • I can't beilve I used to hate these guys, there great!

  • Got into Radiohead couple of years ago, loved the 80's ignored 90's & missed gems like this!

  • great song great band.... but the singer definitaly has a weird face...

  • Great Tune !!! and the video is ehhh creative ?? he so damn funny in the cart , almost cant look otherwise i lose interest in the siong ahahahaha.. carts are funny

  • This song makes me feel like all that pain, all that pretence, all that i put up with each day and then there is this that tells me I'm not alone. It wears me out, everyday.

  • to me this song says that just because your problems aren't as bad as a lot of other peoples doesn't mean they can't (or shouldn't) wear you out. Stop trying to hold them above your head, and rest them back on your sholders.

  • 19 dislikes! what the fuck

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOD

  • I think a lot more people in the world can learn from this song. It's a 90s version of Little Pink Houses by Bob Dylan. I think people are looking and living like they were bought off a shelf. Who wants to live with someone like that or live that way? I hate cookie cutters.

  • @jennydp2639 little pink houses is by john mellencamp

  • @jennydp2639 but i bet you like cookies ;)

  • "But I can't help the feeling, I could blow through the ceiling!..."

  • i like the babies

  • whats the radio?

  • @kkeithor i think that if we didnt have to discover good music on our own we wouldnt fully appreciate it. when i heard radiohead through a friend and looked them up on my own i was so thankful to be hearing real music i thought i might cry. i dont think it would have been that way if i had heard it on the radio.

  • I felt the same way about my dads generations music in the 60 & 70s,being born in 1980.I wonder if one day someone will look at this years music as good if it just progressively will get worse. We are the consumer,if we keep buying crap they'll keep making it.

  • damn that is one deep music video

  • ...awesomeness...

  • I wish I was alive when good music played on the radio :(

This song is one of the best

  • @JunoCat16 Bad music has always been played on the radio. Pop was around in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Nothing has changed.

  • I miss it when my Mom would push me in the shopping cart. My world cracked a little when she said I was too big for it anymore. I think then was the moment I knew I was gonna die. Childhood is over the moment you can't ride in the shopping cart.

  • @bongcouver Nothing dies unless you let it.

  • @Tr3Bon3 on the contrary, everything dies eventually. It's just up to you how much you want to postpone/hasten the inevitable.

  • @bongcouver hahaha i totally i agree..ive written my will u know.. hahahaha im jk!!

    :)

  • @bongcouver Reminds me.. when I was 7 years I asked my mom to be in the stroller, and this younger kid. Came to the stroller, and said (in spanish) "MOM LOOK.. A BABY!" He pulled the stroller shade thing up.. & found me haha.

But what you wrote was better bro! :)

  • @bongcouver Too funny!

  • @bongcouver this is poetry I hope they can use for lirics in a song so profund as this one

  • cooL )

  • I've come to love every single song they've made, since its all really genius, but this, How To DIsappear Completely, Nude and Creep are my favorite of theirs...the emotion experienced listening to these almost send you to the point of tearing up...its just beautiful

  • Why can't people accept that the music of every generation changes?

Just because now is different, it doesn't mean that now sucks. Maybe the range of music you listen to is just not broad enough to be open minded.

  • @395276 Some people just only like nostalgia. I know many people who think the only time good music was made was in the 60s and 70s...in other words, the first music they ever got into is the only music they'll ever get into. Sucks, but music has evolved. I had someone the other day ask me "it sucks that there is nothing out their like Guns and Roses anymore...why aren't their bands like that anymore?" My answer "because it's been done, time to move on."

  • @treefingers1206 Thank you for getting my point exactly.

  • effing. great. song.

  • Radiohead is brilliant

  • where is today's radiohead?

good bands dont seem to float above the surface anymore

that is not to say there is no good music out there that inspires people

  • @eyehategumbo They exist. Today's Radiohead is........Radiohead. They didn't go anywhere. Also, at this time, it's not like Radiohead ruled the world. There were just as many shit bands then too. People just don't remember them b/c they weren't memorable.

  • @sdmf1025 Berk.

  • It was a hit here in BRAZIL, 90's - From São Paulo!

  • I did'nt get radiohead for years, then one day it clicked, I can't stop listening now, I love em. Respect.

  • ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS

  • long live the 90's

  • de las mejores canciones que e escuchado en mi vida...!!!

  • I find this song to be fairly unremarkable... Of course Thom Yorke's voice is great, but the music itself is fairly bland, and I find the lyrics unimaginative. Which is strange, because I always found radiohead to be the opposite of bland and unimaginative.

  • @superlou1s

I disagree. I was agreeing with you at first when I first hear it until I reheard it again. The song is awesome.

  • Much boring!!!

  • chill :)

  • oh god i love Radiohead.

  • This song reminds me of her, because she said to me that it reminds her of me. Now that she is with him, this is all I have of her....memories. Fake Plastic Trees reminds me of her now in only the best possible way.

  • @RPete100 Dude, that's awesome. I'm almost 60, and have music from another decade that does the same thing for me...

  • Amazing how vital this still sounds...the music and content - everything. And to think where Radiohead went from there....

A model for remaining creative through our lives - all the time, at every moment - for all of us.

  • I wish I wasn't born in '94 xD

  • I wish I wasn't born in '94 xD

  • I wish I wasn't born in '94 xD

  • We really need new bands like Radiohead.

  • luv this!!

  • I covered this song many a day in my time

  • story of my psychadelic life

  • Man..

I love REAL music like this

  • Wow. Here I thought I was the only "creep," the sole weirdo, who found this to be, not just one of Radiohead's greatest songs, but one of the absolute greatest, most moving songs ever put to tape. & 1995! Seems like an incredibly long time ago. Perhaps it was? But what happened to music this profound? When bands like Radiohead, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, The Verve, et al. put out music that made even radio worth enduring? It was a Renaissance all its own. I'm just thankful to have been there.

  • @BehaviorModification, those bands have been stabbed in the back by the music industry mt friend

  • @BehaviorModific.... true. whilst i cant compare any of those bands to radiohead, they still made the radio a much more tolerable place than it is today. all i hear is lil wayne. people lke me who grew up listining to this bullshit of the 2000's wont let it go on much longer, as soon as we get astuido.

  • @BehaviorModification I wish I was, But ive been brought up in a world filled with synthesisers D:

  • @BehaviorModification

Oasis wasn't a good band. They suck

  • @BehaviorModification

who knows...... I believe music must have a meaning, a story, an lining of reasoning that fits into our world. The music of today obvious doesn't show that, only people like you and me can sit back and listen to what inspires our ears, and what gives us the true reality of REAL music that is Radiohead, the Beatles, Oasis, Explosions in the Sky, U2, the the list can go on and on, but I guess time defeats all in the end.....

Like a lost story, all shall behind time..

  • @BehaviorModification very unfortunate what happened to oasis and the verve. nowadays i could care less about the smashing pumpkins, it seems like radioheads the only band from the 90's other than pearl jam to actuall mature in a positive way

  • @BehaviorModification Well said......

  • OH SHIT I CAN SEE JOHNNYS FACE

  • Your so right! Do you know this song wad supposed to be call '' shakalaka monkey banana ''.. but the name was change due to internal reason...

  • Down with pop music today its terrible music has devolved, not moving foward as an art form at all just a cash in. i think that the people who buy that shit pop music dnt really lyk it they just cant get anything else and dnt know how to, dnt know where to find and have friends in the same position so cant even get new music from there mates its shocking

  • sometimes i feel like im surrounded by fake plastic trees

  • this is THE shit!!! this music we got today like that kesha bitch has no talent what so ever.she jus uses compters to make herself sound better.

  • funnythit423 member when people got made fun of for being terrible like her at rapping? When did that get to be acceptable? Computer doesn't really even help that much. I've heard farts that sound better. Maybe we could distort it with a computer, put it over a backbeat, call ourselves artists and get on the radio. We'll make millions. Probably even a grammy. Are you down?

  • @gundog168 sure but i can already ACTUALLY sing

  • This video could have been all dark and broody and junked up with melodrama but instead it is ... brilliant.

  • Love this song. :)

  • As a rule I don't go near it, but I am making an exception tonight.

  • This music is so too beautiful.

  • I am glad I am happy with my salsa, otherwise I would just listen to these mother fuckers all day and take oxycotton until I die, happy.

  • wwould it be fair to say that this song is about materialism?

  • @hmmm2009Interesting

kind of. i think it's about falsity in general, with particular emphasis on the way in which we present ourselves as someone more desirable, but ultimately we cannot fake ourselves forever. "if i could be who you wanted, all the time". perhaps we feel that our real self just isn't good enough for other people.

  • You've summed it up perfectly.

  • that was pretty deep for a Liverpool fan ;)

I don't know what it's like to try and be somebody else... I was aware of how shallow the world is at a very young age - I had the intelligence to transcend that and now at the age I am I feel better for that - the world is full of cunts but if you can try and not be one, you can make a life's worth of difference

  • @Ledonist good 4 U. me2

  • I like it too Emerson.

  • Comment removed

  • if u like good music listen 2 phoenix!!!

  • define good music?

  • I miss good music like this... so creative and full of talent. Music now sucks. Rock on Radiohead

  • could not agree more, its a shame music is in such a low state at the moment.

  • There is good music out now, you are just not looking hard enough. Shins and Black Keys, both great. Problem is you are getting older and getting stuck in your era of music because you aren't exposed to new stuff anymore.

  • @EmersonSCorder Radiohead is Now..

  • thank you! why is it that 80s-90s music is wayyyyy better than now (with few exceptions for maybe brand new etc). money and talent (and physical appearance AHEM) are very different things.

  • @EmersonSCorder dammn straight

  • f'n radiohead...seriously

  • An absolute all time classic....Simple as that !!!!

  • What do you guys think is inside the colorful containers?

I love this song slightly more than the video but sometimes I just can't separate the two.
