i think you're completely wrong about holding your mouth like that when you're singing rock ... it's only good for some genres and for some singers ... check out for example bruce dickinson if iron maiden or geoff tate of queensryche ... they're forming the words, they're not singing with the way you show rock singers do

Range i would say is the biggest influence in why the general public likes to listen to rock. Especially in classic rock how singers where expected to nail high c with perfection on every song. :)

This is great! But you should talk a little more about how range plays into rock. Singers like Robert Plant, Geddy Lee, Sebastian Bach, and many others would be in a much different place without those colossal ranges that they have!
