I think this song tells a story of being individuals, as can be seen when the girls in yellow come parading in and circle the girls in pink. The two girls look a bit intimidated by the fact that they are surrounded by malevolent girls in yellow. Then they're able to get away from them, meaning they break that fear of being ostracized for being different. Then they move on. At least, that's my take on it.

They sound a lot (only in this album) like Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and also Human League. Nice effort but I want them to go back to the intricately layered guitars sound of "Dead Cities, Red Seas & ..." and "Before the Dawn Heal Us". Anthony Gonzalez is a real genious in the studio creating those soundscapes that made me like this band so much. BTW I just saw them tonight here in NYC and they were great.
