  • Uh Shawn, 3:45. That's not a failed charge, the unit does not move at all. An important thing to note is that if a unit passes a leadership test it can declare a charge against another unit, so they could of just wiped out the unit you were trying to protect.

  • why didn't the knights redirect in too the other unit?

  • can someone help me plz i dont understand the point made at 02:22 about the chaos knights

  • chaos rulesssss!!!!!!

  • I am wondering if you have put yourself in your openents' shoes and asked yourself if you would want to play against this army yourself? Maybe it's just me, but I would just pack my stuff and leave if my oponent had mostly just shooty troops that run around all game, hiding and shooting. I'm not saying that everyone shares this opinion, I just feel like warhammer is a game that needs balance to be fun, and it would kinda suck if only one person is having fun =\

  • when you did the stand and shoot your bows are str 4 so unless they have hand weapon and sheild they would have a 5+

  • Dear Shaun:

You may stand and shoot the first unit to charge yours, then flee from the second (though you may NOT stand and shoot TWICE in a single turn)

    Hope that helps :)

  • @2347logan1

Uhhh... No. You may only make one charge reaction.

  • @ArachEye

    Pg. 18 small rulebook:

"A unit can only stand and shoot once in a charge sub-phase - there is no time to reload. This is not to say the stand and shoot must be used against the first charging unit - the chargee can opt to hold against the first charge and Stand & Shoot against the second charge. It could even elect to Flee! in a reaction to a third charge if it wished!"

Surely that means you can Stand & Shoot, then Flee! from the next charge?

I apologize BTP i know thats super nerdy!

  • @ArachEye Sorry, but you're incorrect. A unit may make multiple charge reactions in response to multiple charges. See p. 18 under the heading "There's Too Many of Them!"

  • I echo what everyone else has pointed out in regards to re-directing the charge. If you had fled the gladeguard from the knights charge they would have re-directed into the flank of the next unit. In that situation in a game you would have held and declared 'stand and shoot'.

  • 5:12 no u dont

  • the subtitles were wierd

  • Chaos can redirect charge

  • you are realy making it hard for you mark of nurgle chaos ! and letting the get the first turn OK thats hard

  • 3:29. The chaos knights can choose to redirect their charge after you declare your charge reaction: flee, meaning your "block" is in a sense, useless.

  • Could you put the elves in two ranks instead of one long line? Idk if that would make any difference but it was just a thought

  • Since Wood Elf bows are Strength 4 at short range wouldn't your To Wound roll have be a 3+ when you stood and shot?

  • @JavlinVII

Chaos warriors and chaos knights are all toughness 4

  • RE-Direct!!! and the game goes *flush* for WE.

  • chaos knights wood redirect heir charge into the second unit of archers i guess

  • I think you need some speed bumps such as treemen, also it may be convienient to create some forests as obstacles.

  • I'm sure 100 people probably pointed this out but the chaos knights could redirect their charge at the unit you were "blocking" if you just flee. So this wouldn't work.

  • 3:00 and onwards

Don't forget that the chaos knights can divert their charge onto another unit if they pass a leadership test when the charge reaction is flee. (page 18, diverting an attack, I guess... just my translation from german)

  • knight's could've just redirected their charge :)

  • LMAO love the ruler bit then coming back with the T.A.C template

  • suggested tactic: use centre units to "tempt' the opponent while the flanks shoot once the centre colapses into the following shape \ _ _ _ / if that makes sense. I would post a video to show this but my camera is down :(

  • Looks interesting so far.

  • you need to have a central "anvil" unit of eternal guard

  • And you measured front of the base to back of the base on the first "go back in time" flee instead of standing and shooting. I do not approve.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the knights be able to re-direct the charge after the Glade Guard fled?

  • About 2" off on the first flee in turn 2...

  • sounds good, and better to play test hard, then you don't think you the best and can beat anything

  • @TanithLord I am certainly not out to show this as a supremely competitive build. I'd be happy if it just helped Wood Elves hold their own.
